Hellmut Andics
Hellmut Andics (25 August 192219 August 1998) was an Austrian journalist, publicist and writer. Life After military service in World War II Andics became a journalist and worked as an editor, at The New Austria and Die Presse. From 1 March 1979 to 31 December 1980 Andics was director of the Burgenland Festival. From 11 October 1982 to 27 October 1986, he was director of the ORF Regional Studio Burgenland. He is best known for its contemporary history reports and documentaries. He also wrote the screenplay for the television series ''Ringstraßenpalais (TV series), Ringstraßenpalais'' and for the five-part documentary television film ', which the ZDF produced in 1967 under the direction of Wolfgang Schleif. Axel Corti
Axel Corti (born ''Axel Fuhrmanns''; 7 May 1933 – 29 December 1993) was an Austrian screenwriter, film director and radio host. Life He was born in Paris. His father was a businessman of Austrian and Italian descent, his mother was from Berlin. From German-occupied France, he and his mother were brought to safety in Switzerland by his father, a member of the Resistance who died in 1945. After World War II, he moved to Italy, where he took on the surname Corti, and finally began to study German and Romance philology at the University of Innsbruck. Corti worked at public Radio Innsbruck from 1953 onwards, from 1956 to 1960 as head of the literature and radio drama department of the Tyrolean ORF regional radio. He then turned to a career as an assistant director at the Vienna Burgtheater and worked as a director at Theater Oberhausen and Theater Ulm as well as with Peter Brook in London. Georg Tressler (January 25, 1917 – January 6, 2007) was a Vienna-born German film actor and film director. Also known as George Tressler, Hans Tressler, Hans Dressler, Hans Georg Keil and Hans Sternbeck (per IMDb). The son of actor Otto Tressler, he began his acting career in the 1930s. George Tressler was drafted into the German army during World War II and served on the Russian Front. He became ill and was released from the service and returned to Vienna. In the immediated post-war period Tressler was employed making films to help his Austrian compatriots better understand how to benefit from US Marshall Plan aid.
