Helligvær
Helligvær is an island group in the Vestfjorden in Bodø Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The islands are located about northwest of the town of Bodø. The Bliksvær islands are about to the south, Landegode island is to the east, and the islands of Røstlandet and Værøya are about to the west. There are about 365 islands, islets, and skerries in the group. They are all low and grassy with no trees. There are five inhabited islands in the group: Sørvær (most populous), Brønnøya, Storsørøya, Vetterøya, and Vokkøya (the largest). The islanders live in small fishing villages around the island group. There were about 106 inhabitants in 2017. Helligvær Church is located on the island of Storsørøya and Grytøy Lighthouse is located on the island of Grytøy in the southern part of the island group. Helligvær Church
Helligvær Church ( no, Helligvær kirke) is a chapel of the Church of Norway in Bodø Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It is located on the small island of Store Sørøya in the Helligvær islands in the Vestfjorden west of the town of Bodø. It is an annex chapel for the Bodin parish which is part of the Bodø domprosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Sør-Hålogaland. The small, white, wooden chapel was built in a long church style in 1899. The chapel seats about 100 people. It was originally a small ''bedehus'' (meeting house), but in 1908 it was consecrated as an official chapel. Grytøy Lighthouse
Grytøy Lighthouse ( no, Grytøy fyr) is a coastal lighthouse in Bodø Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It is located in the Vestfjorden in the Helligvær islands, about northwest of the town of Bodø. The current light sits atop a tall concrete tower. The light sits above sea level. It has two flashes every 10 seconds, the color that flashes is white or red depending on direction from which it is seen. The light can be seen for up to . History The original lighthouse was built in 1865. It was a square light tower attached to the front of a two-story keeper's house. It was located near the current lighthouse. That lighthouse was closed and demolished in 1959 and replaced with an automated light tower nearby. Bliksvær
Bliksvær or Briksvær is an island group in the Vestfjorden in Bodø Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The islands are located about west of the town of Bodø. The Helligvær islands are about to the north, Landegode island is to the northeast, and the islands of Røstlandet and Værøya around about to the west. There are about 60 islands and islets in the Bliksvær group. They are all low and grassy with no trees. The only inhabited island is Bliksvær island. There were 5 inhabitants in 2017. Due to the rich bird life in the area, about of the island group is protected as a nature reserve. Most of the nature reserve is not land, but ocean to protect the habitat of the sea birds and seals. Landegode
Landegode is an island in Bodø Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The island is located about northwest of the town of Bodø and about east of the Helligvær islands. The highest point on the mountainous island is the tall Rypdalstinden. Most of the 48 islanders (in 2017) live in the southern village of Fenes. Landegode Church is also located in Fenes. Just off of the north end of the island, there are two lighthouses: Landegode Lighthouse and Bjørnøy Lighthouse. Fishing Village
A fishing village is a village, usually located near a fishing ground, with an economy based on catching fish and harvesting seafood. The continents and islands around the world have coastlines totalling around 356,000 kilometres (221,000 mi). From Neolithic times, these coastlines, as well as the shorelines of inland lakes and the banks of rivers, have been punctuated with fishing villages. Most surviving fishing villages are traditional. Characteristics Coastal fishing villages are often somewhat isolated, and sited around a small natural harbour which provides safe haven for a village fleet of fishing boats. Kunnskapsforlaget () is a Norwegian publishing company based in Oslo. Kunnskapsforlaget was established in 1975, as a partnership between H. Aschehoug & Co. (W. Nygaard) and Gyldendal Norsk Forlag. The purpose was to co-operate on publishing encyclopaedias and dictionaries. The first volume of Store norske leksikon (SNL) was published in 1978. Nordland

Skerry
A skerry is a small rocky island, or islet, usually too small for human habitation. It may simply be a rocky reef. A skerry can also be called a low sea stack. A skerry may have vegetative life such as moss and small, hardy grasses. They are often used as resting places by animals such as seals and birds.
