Hellfire (1349 Album)
''Hellfire'' is the third studio album by Norwegian black metal band 1349. It was released on 24 May 2005 through Candlelight Records. A music video was produced for the track "Sculptor of Flesh". The video, directed by Judd Tilyard, alternates between footage of the band performing the song in Norway and clips of surgery filmed in Australia. The closing track of the album, "Hellfire", was intentionally recorded at 13:49 in length to spell out the band name. 1349 is a Norwegian black metal band from Oslo, Norway, formed in 1997. The band's name is a reference to the year the Black Death reached Norway. History 1349 formed in 1997 and comprises several former members of the band Alvheim. Drummer Frost is also a member of Satyricon. In recognition of 1349's influences, the band performed a cover of Mayhem's "Buried by Time and Dust" on their debut album, ''Liberation''. At 1349's live shows, the band has also covered Celtic Frost, whom vocalist Ravn cites as his principal influence. 1349 tours on a regular basis. The band's live shows often begin with Frost and guitarist Archaon breathing fire. In 2006, 1349 toured the US with Celtic Frost. Bass Guitar
The bass guitar, electric bass or simply bass (), is the lowest-pitched member of the string family. It is a plucked string instrument similar in appearance and construction to an electric or an acoustic guitar, but with a longer neck and scale length, and typically four to six strings or courses. Kjetil-Vidar Haraldstad (stage name Frost; born 28 June 1973) is the Norwegian drummer in black metal bands Satyricon and 1349. He was born in Øyer, Oppland. Frost has previously performed with Gorgoroth, Zyklon-B, Gehenna and Keep Of Kalessin. He originally joined Satyricon temporarily to record the demo ''The Forest is My Throne'', later joining the band full-time. He has a degree in Engineering, having taken a course in Computer Science at the University of Oslo. He is regarded as one of the fastest and most proficient drummers in the black metal and extreme metal genres. Frost employs various drumming styles when performing with different bands; in 1349 and early Satyricon he extensively uses blast beats, with his most recent work in Satyricon being more thought-out and mid-tempo. Electric Guitar
An electric guitar is a guitar that requires external amplification in order to be heard at typical performance volumes, unlike a standard acoustic guitar (however combinations of the two - a semi-acoustic guitar and an electric acoustic guitar exist). Judd Tilyard (born 15 August 1978) is an Australian film director and producer, based in Toronto since 2010 where he is the co-owner and head of Production at Dimeworth Films. Best known for his ongoing cult success as both a director and producer, Tilyard has been working with James O'Barr to develop an adaptation of the Frame 137 comic created by James O'Barr.
