Helle Simonsen (curler)
Helle Simonsen (born 7 September 1984 in Hvidovre) is a Danish curler. Career In 2001, she represented Denmark for the first time, playing third for Denise Dupont. The team qualified for the 2001 World Junior Curling Championships, where they finished 9th. They did not manage to qualify again until the 2004 World Junior Curling Championships, when Simonsen played second for the rink (now skipped by Madeleine Dupont. Denmark finished 6th. That same year, they represented Denmark at the 2004 Ford World Women's Curling Championship where they placed 8th and the 2004 European Curling Championships where they placed 8th as well. Simonsen would then join up with Nielsen. She found some success with her new rink, winning bronze medals at the 2006 World Junior Curling Championships and the 2007 European Curling Championships. Hvidovre
Hvidovre is the main town in Hvidovre Municipality, Denmark. The town, a suburb of Copenhagen, is about 10 km southwest of the capital's center. It is the 2nd biggest suburb of Copenhagen, only beaten by Frederiksberg. History Hvidovre has been inhabited since prehistoric times. In 1929, a 3,500-year-old sword from the Bronze Age was excavated in Hvidovre. A farm, Ovre (Aworthe), was located in the area in about 1170 when Esbern Snare gave it to Sorø Abbey that later passed it on to Bishop Absalon. A church was built during the Romanesque period. The name Hvidovre, meaning White Ovre, refers to the colour of the church, which was built in white chalk, as opposed to the one in Rødovre, Red Ovre, which was built in red brick. 2010 European Curling Championships
The 2010 Le Gruyère European Curling Championships were held in Champéry, Switzerland from December 3–11, 2010. The Group C matches took place from September 24–28 at the Greenacres Ice Rink in Howwood, Scotland. The winners of the Group C matches advanced to the Group B playoffs in Monthey. The 2016 World Women's Curling Championship (branded as the 2016 Ford World Women's Curling Championship presented by Meridian for sponsorship reasons) was held from March 19 to 27 at the Credit Union iPlex in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. Polycystic ovary syndrome, or PCOS, is the most common endocrine disorder in women of reproductive age.
