Hellalive
''Hellalive'' is the first live album by American heavy metal band Machine Head. The album was released to fulfill Machine Head's commitment to Roadrunner Records (the band released '' Through the Ashes of Empires'' shortly after). Former Vio-lence guitarist Phil Demmel is present on "None But My Own" and "The Burning Red", in place of Ahrue Luster, due to these songs being taken from 2002's Full Force Festival and by that time Luster had left the band. Demmel filled in, as is credited in the liner notes to "Hellalive" and he later joined the band as permanent lead guitarist. As of 2012 the album has sold over 38,000 copies in the United States and an estimated 78,000 copies worldwide since its 2003 release. Supercharger (album)
''Supercharger'' is the fourth album by the heavy metal band Machine Head. The release was ill-timed, and, as a result of little promotion, fell far short of the success of ''The Burning Red,'' which has sold about 134,000 copies in the US to date. ''Supercharger'' has sold about 45,000 copies in the US to date, making it a commercial failure. It is the band's last release to feature lead guitarist Ahrue Luster. Album information ''Supercharger'' was released in October, 2001, just weeks after the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The lead (and only) single "Crashing Around You", was pulled from MTV and rock radio just as soon as it was added despite being the "most added" track in the United States. The pull was a result of the metaphorical "crashing" lyric in the song and the burning San Francisco skyline in the video. Machine Head's support tour for the album was done without help from their label Roadrunner Records, and after the release of ''Hellalive'' to fulfill their contract, l ...

Machine Head (band)
Machine Head is an American heavy metal band from Oakland, California. The band was formed in 1991 by vocalist/rhythm guitarist Robb Flynn, who remains the only original member of the band. Machine Head's aggressive musicianship made it one of the pioneering bands in the new wave of American heavy metal. Its current lineup comprises Flynn, bassist Jared MacEachern, lead guitarist Wacław Kiełtyka and drummer Matt Alston. Bassist Adam Duce, lead guitarists Logan Mader, Ahrue Luster and Phil Demmel, and drummers Tony Costanza, Chris Kontos and Dave McClain are former members of the band; Mader and Kontos toured with the band in 2019 and 2020 as part of the 25th anniversary tour for its first album, ''Burn My Eyes'' (1994). Machine Head's first four albums earned the band a growing fan base in Europe, however the band would not have success in the United States until later releases. Crashing Around You
"Crashing Around You" is a song by American heavy metal band Machine Head from their album ''Supercharger''. It was released as a single in September 2001 and is also available on the band's live album ''Hellalive''. The single's release was ill-timed, coming out shortly before the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Music video The video was released just barely before the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The imagery in the video focused around a disturbed man in a small room and the band playing in front of a backdrop which switches back and forth between a city skyline and flames, with the flames superimposed over the skyline towards the end of the video. In fear that this could be viewed as insensitive after the tragic 9/11 attacks, the music video was subsequently banned from MTV due to its depiction of falling buildings. The video can be seen as an enhanced feature on the actual single and on YouTube. Track listing UK CDs # "Crashing Around You" - 3:17 # "Silver" (Live) - 4:28 # "Ten Ton Hamme ...

''The Burning Red'' was Machine Head's first album with guitarist Ahrue Luster, as well as their first venture into nu metal. Music and lyrics The album is mainly considered nu metal. This departure from the band's groove metal style led to backlash from fans. Fans also complained about rapping heard in songs like " From This Day" or "Desire to Fire". Machine Head's drummer Dave McClain said, "Pissing people off isn't a bad thing, you know? For people to be narrow-minded is bad ... doesn't bother us at all, we know we're going to piss people off with this record, but some people hopefully wi ...

Through The Ashes Of Empires
''Through the Ashes of Empires'' is the fifth studio album by American heavy metal band Machine Head. The band moved away from the nu metal genre featured on their previous two albums, and towards the style of their debut ''Burn My Eyes'' and their second album '' The More Things Change...'' It was released in the UK, Europe and Australia on the Roadrunner Records International label on October 31, 2003. At this stage, Machine Head still did not have an American record deal, having parted ways with Roadrunner Records US after the '' Supercharger'' album was released. ''Through The Ashes of Empires'' was such a success that Roadrunner Records US, in an unprecedented move, quickly offered Machine Head a new contract and the album finally reached North America on April 20, 2004. This album was also the first album to feature guitarist Phil Demmel, who would stay with the band until his departure in 2018. On December 9, 2011, the album was certified Silver by the British Phonographi ...

Davidian (song)
''Burn My Eyes'' is the debut studio album by American heavy metal band Machine Head, released on August 9, 1994, by Roadrunner Records. The album's themes generally tie into the social disorder and corresponding inner tension that the band was exposed to in their native Oakland, California, reflected in Robb Flynn's lyrics, such as the Los Angeles Riots of 1992 and the Waco Siege of 1993. The album's title alludes to the third part of the phrase, "Burn my eyes and try to blind me" during the breakdown of "Old". The album shipped over 400,000 copies worldwide, becoming Roadrunner Records's best selling debut album until the release of Slipknot's self-titled debut album. This is Machine Head's only studio album to feature drummer Chris Kontos. Album information The songs make references to some certain well-publicized controversies such as the 1992 Los Angeles Riots (heard in dialogue on "Real Eyes, Realize, Real Lies") and the Waco Siege of 1993 ("Davidian"). Elsewhere, ther ...
