Helisul Linhas Aéreas S/A was a Brazilian airline founded in 1994. In 1996, it was sold to TAM Transportes Aéreos Regionais, which incorporated the airline in 1998. History On October 5, 1972, Tropical Táxi Aéreo was founded in Foz do Iguaçu. It was a subsidiary of Tropical Hotéis, a company part of the same holding that owned Varig. This was later by Eloy Biesuz and the name changed to Helisul Táxi Aéreo Ltda. As part of its growing activities, Helisul Taxi Aéreo founded on May 16, 1994 Helisul Linhas Aéreas, as a charter airline operating regular flights and with operations concentrated at Curitiba-Bacacheri Airport linking Curitiba to other cities in Paraná state. On January 1, 1995 its license was updated to one of a regional carrier. On July 1, 1996 Helisul was sold to TAM Airlines and it began operating feeder services to TAM. Bacacheri Airport is an airport in Curitiba, Brazil. It is named after the neighbourhood where it is located. It is operated by CCR S.A., CCR. History The history of Bacacheri airport begins in 1930 as an air field for Military Aviation. In 1942 the Ministry of Air Force officially upgraded the facility to the status of an Air Force Base. On March 31, 1980 Bacacheri Air Force Base was de-commissioned and its administration handled over to Infraero. However, Bacacheri still has a strong military presence because the Brazilian Integrated Air Traffic Control and Air Defense Center section 2 (CINDACTA, Cindacta II) is located in the vicinity of the airport. In 1997 the airport was closed for scheduled operations and since then it is mostly dedicated to general aviation and aircraft maintenance operations. On October 1, 2010 the State Government of Santa Catarina authorized renovation works focusing mainly on the runway. São Miguel do Oeste is a municipality of the Brazilian state of Santa Catarina. It is located 730 km west of Florianópolis. It has a population of 40,868 (2020/IBGE) and an area of 234 kmª. Juvenal Loureiro Cardoso Airport is the airport serving Pato Branco, Brazil. It is operated by the Municipality of Pato Branco under the supervision of Aeroportos do Paraná (SEIL). History The city had received commercial flights from Azul Brazilian Airlines since January 10, 2019, when a weekly service to the airport from Curitiba was started, turning into a semi-daily service, with flights from Monday through Friday. However, the airline temporarily stopped the service on March 23, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, predicting the service would resume in late June, but the flight to the airport was actually resumed in late December 2021, again with a weekly service. Pato Branco ("White Duck" in English) is a municipality in the state of Paraná in Brazil. The municipality covers 537,8 km² (206.7 mi²) and has a population of 83,843 (2020 IBGE estimate). Pato Branco started off as a village in 1942 and was given status as a city December 14, 1952. Joaçaba is a city situated in the state of Santa Catarina, Brazil, with approximately 30,404 inhabitants. Located in 27º10'22" S and 51º30'03" W and 516.74 m above sea level, the city was colonized in the early 20th century by German and Italian immigrants. Guarapuava (population: 182,644) is a municipality in the state of Paraná in Brazil. It is the largest municipality in that state by area. Guarapuava is located at 25°23'36" south and 51°27'19" west. The region is known as the centre of the state of Paraná, in the third plateau, also called the Plateau of Guarapuava.
