Helge Larsen
Helge Larsen (1915–2000) was a Danish politician. He was a member of the Danish Social Liberal Party and served as the minister of education between 1968 and 1971. Early life and education Larsen was born on 25 April 1915 in Vester Åby. He received his master's degree in history, Danish and German languages in 1942. Career Larsen joined the Danish Social Liberal Party in 1936. He worked as a teacher before his political career. He became an adjunct professor at Nykøbing Cathedral School in 1949. He was first elected to the Parliament from the Danish Social Liberal Party on 29 October 1956 and served at the Parliament until 22 September 1964. On 2 February 1968 he was appointed minister of education and remained in office until 11 October 1971. The cabinet was led by Prime Minister Hilmar Baunsgaard. The term of the cabinet witnessed some disputes in Denmark, and the Danish university students nicknamed Larsen as ''Evil Helge''. Larsen's successor as education minister was ...

Education Minister of Denmark ( da, Undervisningsminister, ), or Minister of Education in Denmark, is a Denmark, Danish minister (government), minister office currently held by Mattias Tesfaye in the Frederiksen II Cabinet. The office was created in 1916 when the post Kultus Minister of Denmark, Kultus Minister was split up into the posts of Education Minister and Church Minister (Denmark), Church Minister. The new Church Minister also took over the responsibility for culture from the Culture Minister, a task later transferred to the Minister for Cultural Affairs (Denmark), Minister for Cultural Affairs in 1961. Upon the accession of the Thorning-Schmidt I Cabinet on 3 October 2011 the title was changed from Minister of Education to Minister of Children and Education and on 9 August 2013 the title was changed back to Minister of Education. Hilmar Baunsgaard
Hilmar Baunsgaard (26 February 1920, Slagelse – 30 June 1989) was a Danish politician who served as Prime Minister of Denmark from 1968 to 1971. He was a member of the Danish Social Liberal Party and the party's leader from 1968 to 1975. He was preceded and succeeded by the Social Democratic leader of that time, Jens Otto Krag as prime minister. Between 1948 and 1951, Baunsgaard served as the chairman of Social Liberal Youth of Denmark. In 1957, he became a Member of Parliament. He also served as minister of commerce from 1961 to 1964 under Viggo Kampmann and Jens Otto Krag. Baunsgaard had a education in trade, and worked in the private business sector.
