Helena National Park
Helena National Park is a national park in the Perth metropolitan region, Perth metropolitan and Wheatbelt (Western Australia), Wheatbelt regions of Western Australia, south-east of Perth. It is located in the City of Kalamunda and the Shire of Beverley, Shires of Beverley, Shire of York, York and Shire of Mundaring, Mundaring. The park is located in the Jarrah Forest bioregion. Helena National Park was created as Class A reserve No. 47882 on 30 November 2004 with a size of as one of nine national parks proclaimed in the state that day. The national park, on land whose traditional owners are the Whadjuk people, is located on the Bibbulmun Track and part of the Perth Hills. Jarrah Forest
Jarrah forest is tall open forest in which the dominant overstory tree is ''Eucalyptus marginata'' (jarrah). The ecosystem occurs only in the Southwest Botanical Province of Western Australia. It is most common in the biogeographic region named in consequence Jarrah Forest. Bibbulmun Track
The Bibbulmun Track is a long-distance walk trail in Western Australia. It runs from Kalamunda in the east of Perth to Albany, and is long. It is managed by government agencies, and has a foundation. It traverses the Darling Range and has inspired reflections about the state of the Western Australian environment by William J. Lines in his book ''A long walk in the Australian bush''. The name comes from the Bibbulmun, or Noongar people, Indigenous Australians from the Perth area. Whadjuk
Whadjuk, alternatively Witjari, are Noongar (Aboriginal Australian) people of the Western Australian region of the Perth bioregion of the Swan Coastal Plain. Name The ethnonym appears to derive from ''whad'', the Whadjuk word for "no". Country The traditional tribal territory of the Whadjuk, in Norman Tindale's estimate, takes in some of land, from the Swan River, together with its eastern and northern tributaries.
