Helen Terry
Helen Terry (born 25 May 1956) is a British singer and television producer, known for her backing vocal work with Culture Club. As a solo performer, she scored a Top 40 hit single in 1984 with "Love Lies Lost", and released one album in 1986, ''Blue Notes''. Terry changed careers, with a focus in film and television production, and moved behind the scenes in the music industry. She has been a producer and executive producer for the TV broadcast of the BRIT Awards since 2001. Recording career Terry was asked to perform on Culture Club's debut album, '' Kissing to Be Clever'', after lead singer Boy George met her at a London club. Pop Music
Pop music is a genre of popular music that originated in its modern form during the mid-1950s in the United States and the United Kingdom. Roy Hay (musician)
Roy Ernest Hay (born 12 August 1961) is an English singer, songwriter and musician. He is best known as the lead guitarist, keyboardist, and backing vocalist of the new wave band Culture Club. Hay, a trained pianist since the age of five, replaced founding member Johnny Suede in 1981. Some of Hay's musical influences were Stevie Wonder, The Isley Brothers and Led Zeppelin. Before his involvement with Culture Club, Hay was a hairdresser in his native Essex. It was during Culture Club's beginnings that Hay met Alison Green. The two married in 1982. According to the "Culture Club" episode the VH-1 series ''Behind the Music'', Hay assisted Boy George in giving up heroin. The singer suffered the painful withdrawal symptoms closely attended by Hay in his Essex home. Following Culture Club, Hay formed another band, called This Way Up, with singer Robinson Reid. ''The Martyr Mantras'' is the only studio album by Jesus Loves You (band), Jesus Loves You and the fourth studio album by Boy George. It was credited to Jesus Loves You worldwide except in North America, where it was credited to Boy George upon its release there in 1991. Composition ''The Martyr Mantras'' contains many dance-orientated tracks, most of them with an Electronic music, electronic production. The ''Billboard'' Hot 100 is the music industry standard record chart in the United States for songs, published weekly by '' Billboard'' magazine. Chart rankings are based on sales (physical and digital), radio play, and online streaming in the United States. The weekly tracking period for sales was initially Monday to Sunday when Nielsen started tracking sales in 1991, but was changed to Friday to Thursday in July 2015. This tracking period also applies to compiling online streaming data. Don Edward Fagenson (born September 13, 1952), known professionally as Don Was, is an American musician, record producer and record executive.
