Helen Paradeiser
Helen Paradeiser is an Australian former professional squash player. Her sister Sonia Paradeiser was also a squash player who played in domestic level matches. Career She emerged as runner-up in the women's individual event at the 1983 World Junior Squash Championships. Paradeiser lost to fellow Australian counterpart Robyn Lambourne in the women's singles final (10–8, 9–2, 9–3), her career best performance in international level and also became the first Australian to lose the women's junior world title final as it was an all-Australian clash. World Junior Squash Championships
The World Junior Squash championships are the official junior tournament in the game of squash (sport), squash conducted by the World Squash Federation (WSF). Entry is open to individuals aged 19 and below. Since its inception the world juniors has been held biennially with the junior men (individual and team) held one year, junior women (individual and team) the following year. The men's team event was held unofficially from 1973 to 1979. The individuals event (for both men's and women's) are held annually starting from 2009 while the team event remains biennial. Robyn Lambourne (née Friday, born 24 July 1964, in Narrogin, Australia) is an Australian former squash player. In 1991, she was ranked as the number 2 player in the world, her highest career singles rankings. She became a Junior Squash world champion in the women's individual event defeating her Australian compatriot Helen Paradeiser in the finals at the 1983 World Junior Squash Championships. Robyn Lambourne also became the first Australian to win a Junior Squash World Championship title.
