Hellen Boering
Heleen ("Hellen") Aafje Boering (born July 27, 1964 in Enschede, Overijssel) is a retired water polo goalkeeper from the Netherlands. She made her debut for the Women's National Team in 1984, and was on the squad that won the silver medal at the first official World Championship in women's water polo in 1986 (Madrid, Spain). Boering competed for her native country at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia, finishing in fourth place. Her biggest success came in 1991, when the Dutch won the 1991 World Aquatics Championship, defeating Canada in the final. Heleen Hage
Heleen Hage (born 13 October 1958) is a Dutch former road racing cyclist who was active from 1983 to 1989. In her career, she achieved second place overall 1984 Grande Boucle (women's Tour de France), winning stages 4, 13 and 15. In 1986 she became the Dutch national road cycling champion and in 1987 secured the silver medal in the road race at the World Championships. She also competed in the women's individual road race at the 1988 Summer Olympics. She comes from a family of cyclists and is the sister of Keetie Hage, Bella Hage and Ciska Hage, and is an aunt to Jan van Velzen. Heleen Jaques (born 20 April 1988) is a Belgian former footballer who played as a defender for Gent of the Belgian Super League and the Belgium national team. Club career Jaques made her Champions League debut in October 2012. She has also played for Herforder SV and Turbine Potsdam of the Bundesliga, and Sint-Truiden, Anderlecht and Club Brugge of the Belgian First Division and BeNe League. She transferred to Fiorentina for the 2018–19 season. International career Jaques was a member of the Belgium national team since 2007. Heleen Mees (born Heleen Nijkamp, 1968) is a Dutch opinion writer, economist, and lawyer. Involved with politics and public policy in the Netherlands and the US, she has also taught at universities in both countries. Biography Mees graduated in Economy and Law at University of Groningen. From 1992 to 1998, she worked for the Dutch Treasury in The Hague, for two years as spokeswoman for former State Secretary Willem Vermeend. She then worked for the European Commission in Brussels from 1998 to 2000. In 2000 she emigrated to the US, where she changed her surname from Nijkamp to Mees. In New York Mees was initially employed as a European affairs consultant for Ernst & Young. Heleen van Royen (born Helena Margaretha Kroon; 9 March 1965, in Amsterdam) is a Dutch novelist and columnist. Her novel ''De gelukkige huisvrouw'' ("The Happy Housewife") was best-selling Dutch novel of 2010. The candid descriptions of sexuality (including her own) found in her books and her columns have drawn considerable attention, as have her personal revelations about sexual fantasies, even to the point of ridicule: Dorine Wiersma won the Annie M.G. Heleen W.A.M. Sancisi-Weerdenburg (23 May 1944, in Haarlem – 28 May 2000, in Utrecht), was a Dutch ancient historian, specializing in classical Greek and Achaemenid history. Sancisi-Weerdenburg began her studies in ancient history at the University of Leiden, graduating in 1967 to research under the supervision of Professor W. den Boer, a specialist in Greek history. For her doctoral thesis she set herself the task, which turned into a perennial theme, of trying to disentangle the complex realities of the Achaemenid Empire from the distorting web created by Greeks, Greek literary conventions. To do this, she studied Old Persian, primarily on her own, and Iranian archaeology with Louis Vanden Berghe in Ghent.
