Heklina is the stage name of Stefan Grygelko, an American actor, drag queen, and entrepreneur in San Francisco. Trannyshack
Trannyshack is a San Francisco drag club started by drag queen Heklina in 1996 as an offshoot of Klubstitute, and was a weekly fixture at The Stud bar in San Francisco for 12 years, drawing large crowds on a regular basis. The Tuesday night performances at The Stud ended on 12 August 2008, with Trannyshack resuming as a monthly event at DNA Lounge in March 2010. Trannyshack history The Trannyshack stage has hosted celebrities including Lady Gaga, Gwen Stefani, RuPaul, Charo, Michelle Visage, Mary Wilson and many of the contestants from ''RuPaul's Drag Race'' among others. In the early years of the club, Ana Matronic of the Scissor Sisters lived in San Francisco and performed frequently at Trannyshack before moving to New York in 1999. Trannyshack ended as a weekly Tuesday night show on August 12, 2008, with "The Final Tuesday". The Stud (bar)
The Stud is a queer bar located in South of Market, San Francisco. Sister Roma is an American drag queen activist, gay pornography director, fundraiser, entertainer and event host/emcee. He has been a member of San Francisco's Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence since 1987. Career Roma was the long-time art director at gay pornography studio Hot House Entertainment until Hot House was bought by NakedSword, in 2014; he now serves as "art director and overall Ambassador of NakedSword". Roma also co-hosts an online talk show, ''The Tim and Roma Show,'' that focuses on gay pornographic movies and the LGBT community. Peaches Christ (stage name for Joshua Grannell) is an American underground drag performer, emcee, filmmaker, and actor. Peaches currently resides in San Francisco where her Backlash Production Company and Midnight Mass movie series are based. Grannell studied film at Penn State University, where his senior thesis film ''Jizzmopper: A Love Story'', about a janitor at an adult video store, won the audience award at the annual Penn State Student Film Festival. Grannell developed the Peaches Christ character during the production of this film. ''Playing It Straight'' is an American reality television series broadcast by the Fox Broadcasting Company (Fox). The series premiered on March 12, 2004, and concluded on March 26, 2004, after the network abruptly cancelled the series after the broadcast of its third episode. Filmed in Elko, Nevada, the series followed Jackie Thomas, a 21-year-old college student, as she searched for love among a group of 14 men. This group, however, consisted of both straight and gay men. Thomas was required to determine which of the men identified as gay based on her observations from a series of individual and group dates.
