Heinz Meier (November 18, 1925 - September 22, 1998) was a German composer. He was best known for his 1965 composition "Der Sommerwind", the lyrics of which were later adapted into English as " Summer Wind". Summer Wind
Summer is the hottest of the four temperate seasons, occurring after spring and before autumn. At or centred on the summer solstice, the earliest sunrise and latest sunset occurs, daylight hours are longest and dark hours are shortest, with day length decreasing as the season progresses after the solstice.
