Gotthard Heinrici
Gotthard Fedor August Heinrici (25 December 1886 – 10 December 1971) was a German general during World War II. Heinrici is considered as the premier defensive expert of the ''Wehrmacht''. His final command was Army Group Vistula, formed from the remnants of Army Group A and Army Group Center to defend Berlin from the Soviet armies advancing from the Vistula River. Early life and career Heinrici was born in 1886 at Gumbinnen in East Prussia, the son of a minister of the (Protestant) Evangelical Church in Germany. He came from a long line of East Prussian theologians, including his uncle Georg Heinrici and his grandfather Carl August Heinrici, and remained a devout Lutheran throughout his life. Following graduation from secondary school in 1905, he broke from family tradition and joined the army on 8 March 1905 as a cadet in an infantry division. Louis Heinrici (1847 - c.1930) was a German industrialist and manufacturer. Personal life Louis Heinrici was born on 30 July 1847 in Torgau and died c.1930 in Zwickau. He married Marie Elisabeth (Born Deustler) with whom he had three sons: Joseph Hans Louis Heinrici, Ernst Hermann Heinrici and Rudolf Heinrici. Business In 1876, Louis Heinrici began to manufacture hot air engines, and other small engines, initially in rented rooms. His first factory building was built in 1884 in Zwickau (Saxony). Georg Heinrici
Carl Friedrich Georg Heinrici (14 March 1844– 29 September 1915) was a German Protestant theologian best known for his studies involving the relationship of early Christianity with its Greek environment. Biography From 1862 to 1867 he studied theology and philosophy at the universities of Halle-Wittenberg and Berlin. In 1873 he became an associate professor of New Testament exegesis at the University of Marburg, where during the following year, he attained a full professorship. In 1892 he succeeded Theodor Zahn as professor of New Testament exegesis at the University of Leipzig, where in 1911/12 he served as rector.
