Heiichiro Ito
is a Japanese international rugby union player who plays as a prop. He currently plays for the in Super Rugby and Yamaha Júbilo in Japan's domestic Top League. Club career Ito joined Yamaha Júbilo ahead of the 2014–15 Top League season, but had to wait until the following year before making his debut. His appearances during the 2015–16 season were largely from the replacements bench, however the following year, he established himself as a regular in the starting fifteen. International Ito was one of several Yamaha Júbilo players to receive their first call-up to Japan's senior squad ahead of the 2016 end-of-year rugby union internationals. 2015–16 Top League
The 2015–16 Top League was the 13th season of Japan's domestic rugby union competition, the Top League. It kicked off on 13 November 2015 and was completed on 24 January 2016. The final was won by Panasonic Wild Knights defeating Toshiba Brave Lupus by 27–26. A short pre-season competition was also played from 3 September to 10 October 2015 to provide each Top League team with five official matches before the regular season. Teams The only change to the make-up of the league was the Challenge One winner Honda Heat replacing Kyuden Voltex. James Whitinui Joseph (born 21 November 1969) is a New Zealand-born Japanese former rugby union player and current rugby union coach. A flanker, Joseph represented Otago at a provincial level, and was a member of the New Zealand national side, the All Blacks, from 1992 to 1995, before representing Japan in 1999. Joseph, now head coach of the Japanese national side, has coached since his retirement, coming through the ranks in New Zealand before his first national stint.
