Lavon Heidemann
Lavon Lynn Heidemann (born October 24, 1958) is an American politician and farmer who served as the 39th lieutenant governor of Nebraska from February 13, 2013 to September 9, 2014 under Governor Dave Heineman. He is a member of the Republican Party. Biography Born in Pawnee City, Nebraska, Heidemann graduated from Elk Creek High School in 1977. He was a dairy farmer and member of the Elk Creek Public Schools Board of Education. He is also a member of the local fire district board and attends St. Peter's Lutheran Church. In 2004, Heidemann ran for a seat representing the 1st district in the Nebraska Legislature and won. In 2008, he ran unopposed, until his support for an increase in the gas tax prompted Jerry Joy to launch an ultimately unsuccessful write-in campaign. Dirk Heidemann (born 18 April 1961) is a former professional ballroom dancer, fashion model, now author, dance sport coach and choreographer from Germany. He has several years of experience in the various fields of dancing. In former years, Heidemann won the national youth championships several times and was runner-up to the German Latin-American championships. At the age of 17, he switched to professional dancing, and in 1993 he reached the world championship final in the Freestyle World Cup in Latin American dancing. Heidemann is the trainer of several world champion couples, and a trainer in the official German Dancesport Federation (DTV) trainer team. He trained Christoph Kies and Blanca Ribas Turón to become three-time world champions in the ten-dance (Standard and Latin) category. Britta Heidemann (born 22 December 1982) is a German épée fencer. In 2016, Heidemann became a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC). Career Épée Fencing At the age of 14, already being a successful athlete and swimmer, Britta Heidemann had her first contact with fencing in a variation of modern pentathlon called Friesenkampf. After first switching to modern pentathlon, at the end of 2000, she began to specialize in fencing. In 2001, she became épée junior world vice-champion and junior European champion. Jack Seale Heidemann (born July 11, 1949 in Brenham, Texas) is an American former professional baseball player. He played in Major League Baseball as a shortstop between and for the Cleveland Indians, St. Louis Cardinals, New York Mets and Milwaukee Brewers. Heidemann was the 1st round draft choice by the Cleveland Indians in the 1967 Major League Baseball Draft. Baseball career Heidemann attended Brenham High School. Originally drafted 11th overall by the Indians in 1967, he made his debut on May 2, at the age of 19. The sixth youngest player that year in the Majors, he appeared in three games, collected three at-bats and hit .000 in that time. Gerd Heidemann (born 4 December 1931) is a German journalist best known for his role in the publication of purported Hitler Diaries that were subsequently proved to be forgeries. In the 1970s, Heidemann bought the yacht ''Carin II'', which had belonged to Hermann Göring, met his daughter Edda Göring and had an affair with her which lasted for five years. They entertained on the yacht and their guests included two Second World War generals, Karl Wolff and Wilhelm Mohnke. Heidemann came forward with his story of lost diaries written by Adolf Hitler in 1983. He sold the rights to the West German magazine ''Stern'' for DM 10,000,000 (then approximately US$6 million), along with his tale about how they had been hidden in a barn in East Germany for many years. Several experts, including the British historian Hugh Trevor-Roper, came forward to pronounce the diaries to be authentic.
