Heide Orth
Heide Orth (''née'' Schildknecht; born 10 August 1942) is a former tennis player from Germany. Heide grew up in Essen in the industrial Ruhr valley and began playing tennis with her father at the age of 13. Her first major success was winning the West German Junior Championship in 1960. Heide later competed in the International Women's Circuit for many years and played for the Germany National Fed Cup team 15 times between 1964 and 1973. She won the singles title at the German national indoor championships in 1969, 1971, 1972 and 1973. Orth reached the quarterfinals in doubles at both Wimbledon and the French Open. In singles, she had wins on the women's tour against the then-reigning Wimbledon champions Virginia Wade (twice) and Evonne Goolagong. Heide married Ludwig Orth in 1965 and gave birth to her son in 1970. Heide Simonis (; born 4 July 1943 in Bonn as Heide Steinhardt) is a German Author and Politician. She is a member of the SPD. From 1993 to 2005 she served as the Minister-President of Schleswig-Holstein. She was the first woman to serve as head of a state government in German history and the only woman to do so in the 20th century. Personal Life and Education Simonis earned her high school degree ( Abitur) in 1962 in Nürnberg. She then studied Economics and Sociology at the Universities of Erlangen-Nürnberg and Kiel, graduating with a degree in economics in 1967. She worked in different positions after 1967. Heide Schmidt
Heide Schmidt (born 27 November 1948 in Kempten im Allgäu, Germany) is an Austrian politician. A lawyer and formerly a prominent member of Jörg Haider's Austrian Freedom Party (FPÖ), in 1993 Schmidt was one of a group of politicians who, because of Haider's increasingly right-wing verbal politics, seceded from the FPÖ and founded the Liberal Forum. From 1990 until 1994 Schmidt was Third President of the National Council of Austria. Also, she twice ran for Austrian Presidency both in 1992 when she was nominated by the FPÖ and in 1998 by the Liberal Forum. Schmidt ran the non-profit organization, ''Institut für eine offene Gesellschaft'' (Institute for an Open Society) from 2000–2009. In 2008, Schmidt staged a brief comeback as leading candidate for the Liberal Forum.
