Bob Heffron
Robert James Heffron (10 September 189027 July 1978), also known as Bob Heffron or R. J. Heffron, was a long-serving New South Wales politician, union organiser and Australian Labor Party (New South Wales Branch), Labor Party Premier of New South Wales from 1959 to 1964. Born in New Zealand, Heffron became involved in various Socialist and labour movements in New Zealand and later Australia before joining the Australian Labor Party. Being a prominent unionist organiser, having been gaoled at one stage for "conspiracy to strike action", he was eventually elected to the Parliament of New South Wales for Electoral district of Botany, Botany in 1930. However his disputes with party leader Jack Lang (Australian politician), Jack Lang led to his expulsion from the ALP in 1936 and Heffron formed his own party from disgruntled Labor MPs known as the Industrial Labor Party. He is best known for his appearances with Extreme Championship Wrestling and the World Wrestling Federation between 1995 and 2005. Edward James "Babe" Heffron (16 May 1923 – 1 December 2013) was a private with E Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, in the 101st Airborne Division of the United States Army during World War II. Heffron was portrayed in the HBO miniseries '' Band of Brothers'' by Robin Laing. He got his first gig as an emcee at the Main Street Comedy Showcase on the University of Michigan campus. Mark Heffron (born 18 November 1991) is an English professional boxer who has held the British and Commonwealth super middleweight titles since 2022. As an amateur he won a silver medal at the 2009 European Youth Championships. Patrick Richard Heffron (June 1, 1856 – November 23, 1927) was an American prelate of the Catholic Church. He served as the second Bishop of Winona from 1910 until his death in 1927. Early life and education Patrick Richard Heffron was born in New York City on June 1, 1856, to Patrick and Margaret (née O'Brien) Heffron. The family later moved to Ripon, Wisconsin, and settled in Olmsted County, Minnesota, in 1864. He received his early education at public schools in New York and Wisconsin, and attended high school in Mantorville. Afterwards he attended business college and law school in Rochester. Deciding to enter the priesthood, Heffron began his studies under the Benedictines at St. John's College in Collegeville, graduating in 1878.
