''Heera Aur Pathar'' () is a 1964 Pakistani Urdu language black-and-white film. It is the first film of Waheed Murad as a lead actor who also produced it. The film was released on 11 December 1964. Murad introduced film director Pervez Malik for the first time in the Pakistani cinema world. Also he had introduced film editor, M. Aqeel Khan, who had later received the Nigar award for this movie for his work. It was a hit film of 1964. Pervez Malik
Pervez Malik (1937 in Karachi – 18 November 2008) was a Pakistani film director. He was the director of Pakistan's first platinum jubilee film, " Armaan" (1966). He directed more than 20 films, mostly in Urdu language, and received excellent reviews for many of his films from both film critics and the public. Early life Pervez Malik was nine years old when Pakistan became independent in 1947. His family had a background in military service, but he was influenced by his class fellow, Waheed Murad, whose father, ''Nisar Murad'', ran a film distribution business, named Film Arts. With the passage of time, they both learned the art of making and marketing films from Nisar Murad and his colleagues who were mostly film-industry personalities. Saleem Shehzad (born March 1946) is a Pakistani film, television, and radio singer. He is known for his song, "''Piyar Ki Yaad Nigahon Mein Sajaye Rakhna''", playback vocalized for the Urdu movie ''Talaash'' in 1976. Early life and career Shehzad was born in March 1945, in Ajmer, British India. His family migrated to Karachi, Pakistan after the partition in 1947. Masroor Anwar (6 January 1944 – 1 April 1996) was a ghazal poet, film song lyricist and a film screenwriter.
