Hedwig Meyer
Alwina Clara Hedwig Meyer (7 October 1841 – after 1916) was a German stage actress. Life Born in Leipzig, Meyer was trained by Minona Frieb-Blumauer. Afterwards, she worked for three years as a young lover at the Thalia Theatre in Hamburg before she moved to the Wallnertheater in Vienna. She worked at several theatres in Berlin and in 1890, she got an engagement at the Deutsches Theater in Berlin, where she stayed until 1894, playing mainly . After several engagements at bigger theatres in Northern Germany, she retired from the stage in 1897. After that she lived married in Berlin. Her siblings were the actors Clara Meyer and Adolf Meyer. Minona Frieb-Blumauer
Minona Frieb-Blumauer (11 May 1816 – 31 July 1886) was a German actress and singer. Life Born in Stuttgart, Minona (''actually Johanna'') Frieb-Blumauer was the daughter of the actor Karl Blumauer, with whom she received her first lessons. Already as a child, she appeared in Neustrelitz in ''der Freischütz'' and 1828 in Gotha as a boy in ''the Magic Flute''. She studied singing for three years at the Prague Conservatory and was immediately engaged for a guest performance in Darmstadt. She stayed there for three years and then moved to Cologne and Aachen, where she performed successfully under , especially in Gioachino Rossini's operas, for example as Rosine in ''The Barber of Seville''. Thalia Theater (Hamburg)
The Thalia Theater is one of the three state-owned theatres in Hamburg, Germany. It was founded in 1843 by Charles Maurice Schwartzenberger and named after the muse Thalia. Königsstädtisches Theater was the name of different theater buildings in Berlin in the 19th and 20th century. The first Königsstädtisches Theater was built by Carl Theodor Ottmer in , a former settlement neighboring Berlin that is today part of the boroughs of Mitte, Prenzlauer Berg and Friedrichshain, and opened in 1824. Its first director was Karl Friedrich Cerf, who managed it until his death in 1845. The Deutsches Theater is a theater in Berlin, Germany. It was built in 1850 as Friedrich-Wilhelm-Städtisches Theater, after Frederick William IV of Prussia. Clara Meyer, also Klara Meyer, (7 October 1848 – 24 July 1922) was a German stage actress Life Born in Leipzig, Meyer, the daughter of a factory owner, attended the Düsseldorf ballet school and from 1867 performed on stage in Düsseldorf. In 1867, she was engaged in Dessau and was a tragic lover at the Schauspielhaus Berlin from 1871 until 1891 and from 1909 until 1912. Adolf Meyer (16 March 1840 – 9 January 1890) was a German stage actor and theatre director. Life Born in Leipzig, Meyer started his stage career at the court theatre in Dessau on 1 August 1857, where he worked as a hero for 18 years. Paul List (21 August 1869 – 30 April 1929) was a German publisher.
