Hedlundia
''Hedlundia'' is a genus of plants in the rose family (biology), family (of Rosaceae). They are shrubs or small trees that have a Hybrid (biology), hybrid origin involving crosses between ''Whitebeam, Aria'' and ''Sorbus'' sensu stricto. There are about 48 species are distributed across central, western and southern Europe, Scandinavia, Turkey, the Caucasus, Crimea, and also central Asia. The term ''Hedlundia'' was published in 2017. Description ''Hedlundia'' species are small trees or shrubs, with simple leaves, pinnatilobate (having lobes arranged in a pinnate manner) or basally Pinnation, pinnate with 1–2(–3) leaflets. Plants of the World Online (POWO) is an online database published by the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. It was launched in March 2017 with the ultimate aim being "to enable users to access information on all the world's known seed-bearing plants by 2020". The initial focus was on tropical African Floras, particularly Flora Zambesiaca, Flora of West Tropical Africa and Flora of Tropical East Africa. The database uses the same taxonomical source as Kew's World Checklist of Selected Plant Families, which is the International Plant Names Index, and the World Checklist of Vascular Plants (WCVP).
