Heaven Sent (Doctor Who)
"Heaven Sent" is the eleventh and penultimate episode of the ninth series of the British science fiction television series ''Doctor Who''. It was first broadcast on BBC One on 28 November 2015. It was written by Steven Moffat and directed by Rachel Talalay. In the episode, the alien time traveller the Twelfth Doctor ( Peter Capaldi) is imprisoned in a waterlocked castle by his people, the Time Lords. A shrouded creature (played by Jami Reid-Quarrell) pursues the Doctor in an attempt to interrogate truths from him. The episode received universal critical acclaim, with many labelling it one of the strongest episodes of the ninth series and of the show overall. Peter Capaldi
Peter Dougan Capaldi (; born 14 April 1958) is a Scottish actor, director, writer and musician. He portrayed the Twelfth Doctor, twelfth incarnation of The Doctor (Doctor Who), the Doctor in ''Doctor Who'' (2013–2017) and Malcolm Tucker in ''The Thick of It'' (2005–2012), for which he received four British Academy Television Award nominations, winning British Academy Television Award for Best Male Comedy Performance, Best Male Comedy Performance in 2010.
