Heaven Knows (Rick Price Album)
''Heaven Knows'' is the debut album by Australian singer-songwriter Rick Price, released in July 1992 through Sony Music- Columbia. It peaked at No. 3 in Australia in July 1992 and spent 23 weeks in the ARIA top 40 chart, and was also successful internationally in numerous countries. The album spawned five singles, all of which charted on the ARIA charts, with its first two singles cracking the top ten. The second single and title track " Heaven Knows" also charted in many countries in Europe and Asia and won the APRA Award song of the year. The fourth single was a cover of The Left Banke hit ''Walk Away Renee''. There were three issues of the album including a U.S. release and a double deluxe-CD Australian Tour Pressing in 1993. Rick Allan Price (born 6 July 1961) is an Australian singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and record producer. His debut album, ''Heaven Knows (Rick Price album), Heaven Knows'', was released in July 1992, and peaked at No. 3 on the ARIA Charts, ARIA Albums Chart. Michael Thompson (born Michael Wood Thompson, February 11, 1954 in Port Washington, New York) is an American guitarist and songwriter. Thompson is known for his work as a session guitarist during the last 4 decades. He founded the rock group TRW in 2007. Early years Michael Thompson grew up in Port Washington, New York and attended Berklee College of Music for two years, studying with Pat Metheny before leaving to tour and record with a local R&B/funk group called The Ellis Hall Group. After four years with the group, Thompson moved to Los Angeles in the hopes of starting a career as a studio musician, almost immediately getting a touring gig with Joe Cocker. John Frederick Robinson (born December 29, 1954), known professionally as JR, is an American drummer and session musician who has been called "one of the most recorded drummers in history". Neil Stubenhaus is an American bass guitarist. Career He started his musical training playing drums and switched to bass guitar at the age of 12. He studied at the Berklee College of Music where he graduated in 1975. After graduation, he was recommended by Steve Swallow and started teaching while playing in a band with another Berklee student Steve Smith (Vital Information, Journey). While at Berklee, Neil met session drummers Vinnie Colaiuta (who has worked with famous musicians such as Sting, & Frank Zappa) and John Robinson (who has also worked with superstars, including Barbra Streisand, Quincy Jones, Chaka Khan, Michael Jackson). Michael Brown (born Michael David Lookofsky, April 25, 1949 – March 19, 2015) was an American keyboardist and songwriter, most notable for his work with the Left Banke. He was born in Brooklyn, New York, the son of violinist and arranger Harry Lookofsky. The Left Banke Brown was the principal songwriter for the 1960s baroque-pop group the Left Banke, writing their two biggest hits, "Walk Away Renee" and "Pretty Ballerina". He also was a harpsichordist and clavinet player for the band. "Walk Away Renee" was also a top 20 hit for the Four Tops, having reached No. 15 on the soul singles chart, and No. 14 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100.
