Heather Young (born Patricia Kay Paterson, April 1, 1945) is an American former actress who is best known for playing the character Betty Hamilton on the television series ''Land of the Giants''. Life and career Young was born in Bremerton, Washington. She began her entertainment career as a singer at Disneyland. In 1967, she had a number of small roles in shows such as the ''Batman'' television series and the courtroom series ''Judd for the Defense''. In 1968, she married David Youkstetter and now goes by the name Patricia Youkstetter. Her first experience of working with Irwin Allen was in the final episode of ''The Time Tunnel'' called "Town of Terror". She played a regular role as Betty Ann Hamilton on Allen's next series ''Land of the Giants.'' After the cancellation of the show and appearing in the 1972 TV movie '' Oh, Nurse!'', Young gave up acting to concentrate on her family. Heather Bowie Young
Heather Bowie Young (born March 23, 1975) is an American professional golfer who played on the LPGA, LPGA Tour. She played under her maiden name, Heather Bowie, until her marriage in 2006, and is also referred to as Heather Young. Bowie was born in Washington, D.C. She played college golf at Arizona State University, playing on two NCAA Women's Golf Championship, NCAA Women's Division I Championship teams in 1994 and 1995. She transferred to the University of Texas at Austin, University of Texas and won the NCAA Women's Division I Individual Championship in 1997. While at Texas, she was named the winner of the Honda Broderick Award (now the Honda Sports Award) for golf. She won the Edith Cummings Munson Golf Award in 1995 for her golfing and academic success. Bowie turned professional in 1997 and played on the Futures Tour in 1998 and 1999. Bowie joined the LPGA Tour in 2000 and has won once on Tour in 2005.

Heather Young is a Canadian filmmaker based in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Biography Originally from Saint John, New Brunswick, Young is a graduate of the University of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (NSCAD). Her thesis film ''Dog Girl'' won the Norman McLaren Award for Best Student Film at the Montreal World Film Festival. Her other short films include ''Green'' (2013) and ''Howard and Jean'' (2014). Her short ''Fish'' received an Honourable Mention for Best Canadian Short at the Vancouver International Film Festival and played at TIFF Canada's Top Ten in 2017. Her short ''Milk'' won Best Short Film in the Focus Québec/Canada competition at Festival du nouveau cinéma and also played at TIFF Canada's Top Ten in 2018.
