''Heart of Oak'' (french: Le Chêne, lit=The Oak) is a 2022 French nature documentary film directed by and Michel Seydoux. It is about an oak tree and the animals that live in it, portrayed without spoken commentary. Synopsis ''Heart of Oak'' is a wordless documentary film that takes place at a 210 years old and high oak tree in Sologne. It follows the tree and its animal inhabitants during one calendar year. The animals include insects, birds, mice and a red squirrel. Production The French companies Camera One and Winds produced ''Heart of Oak'' with co-production support from Gaumont. Michel Seydoux
Michel Seydoux (; born 11 September 1947) is a French businessman and film producer. He is also the former president and chairman of French professional football club Lille OSC. In 1975-1976, Seydoux worked with director Alejandro Jodorowsky on a film adaptation of Frank Herbert's ''Dune A dune is a landform composed of wind- or water-driven sand. An international co-production of France, Switzerland, Italy and the United Kingdom, the film showcases detailed interactions between insects and other small invertebrates, and features music by Bruno Coulais.
