"Heart and Soul" is a song by Scottish rock band Twin Atlantic written by lead singer Sam McTrusty and co-written and produced by Jacknife Lee released as the first single from their 3rd studio album, '' Great Divide''. It was released on 25 May 2014 and peaked at number 17 on the UK Singles Chart and number 4 on the Scottish Singles Chart. Background and production The band started recording the song in May 2013 and it took almost a year to record as they were not content with the initial writing process. Sam McTrusty flew out to Los Angeles to collaborate on the process with Jacknife Lee and the rest of the band joined them at a later date. Twin Atlantic are a Scottish alternative rock band from Glasgow, Scotland. The group currently consists of Sam McTrusty (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Ross McNae (bass) and Joe Lazarus (drums). Lead guitarist Barry McKenna departed from the band in 2019, but continues to perform with the band at their live shows. Reading Festival
The Reading and Leeds Festivals are a pair of annual music festivals that take place in Reading and Leeds in England. The events take place simultaneously on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the August bank holiday weekend. The Reading Festival is held at Little John's Farm on Richfield Avenue in central Reading, near Caversham Bridge. The Leeds event is held in Bramham Park, near Wetherby, the grounds of a historic house. Headliners and most supporting acts typically play at both sites, with Reading's Friday line up becoming Leeds' Saturday line-up, Reading's Saturday line-up playing at Leeds on Sunday, and Leeds' Friday line-up attending Reading on Sunday. T in the Park festival was a major Scottish music festival that was held annually from 1994 to 2016. It was named after its main sponsor, Tennents. The event was held at Strathclyde Park, Lanarkshire, until 1996. It then moved to the disused Balado airfield, Perth and Kinross, from 1997 to 2014. In 2015 the festival moved to Strathallan Castle. It was originally held over two days, and extended to three days from 2007. In 2016 the daily capacity was 70,000. The 2017 T in the Park was cancelled due to problems at the 2016 event.
