Heart Of A Poet
Maureen Judge is a Canadian Screen Awards (CSA) winning filmmaker and television producer. Much of her work is documentary and explores themes of love, betrayal and acceptance in the context of the modern family, with the most recent films focusing on the dreams and challenges of contemporary youth. Biography Judge was born in Montreal, Quebec and is one of eight children. As a child, she lived in Montreal, Quebec; Kingston, Ontario; and Chicago, Illinois, before moving to Toronto, Ontario in 1967. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Toronto in science and philosophy. In 1982 she earned a Master of Arts degree in cinema studies from New York University. Shane L. Koyczan , born 22 May 1976, is a Canadian spoken word poet, writer, and member of the group Tons of Fun University. He is known for writing about issues like bullying, cancer, death, and eating disorders. He is most famous for the anti-bullying poem “ To This Day” which has over 25 million views on YouTube. Charles Henry "Marty" Gervais, born in 1946 in Windsor, Ontario, is a Canadian poet, photographer, professor, journalist, and publisher of Black Moss Press. Gervais has also published plays, children's books, non-fiction and, a book of photography, ''A Show of Hands: Boxing on the Border'' (2004). Christian Bök, FRSC (; born August 10, 1966 in Toronto, Canada) is a Canadian poet known for unusual and experimental works.
