Healer (The Twilight Zone)
"Healer" is the first segment of the third episode of the first season (1985–86) of the television series ''The Twilight Zone (1985 TV series), The Twilight Zone''. In this segment, a small-time crook acquires a stone that gives him miraculous healing powers. Plot Cat burglar Jackie Thompson breaks into a museum and steals a stone from a display case. After tripping the alarm, he is shot by a security guard, but the stolen stone heals him. Jack escapes and heads back to his apartment. Hearing a commotion in the hallway, he discovers that his friendly neighbor Harry is having a heart attack. While grasping the stone, Jackie touches Harry's chest and begs for healing. Harry makes a full recovery. Harry tells Jackie he had an out of body experience, which he feels confirms that the stone not only healed him, but brought him back from the dead. The Twilight Zone (1985 TV Series)
''The Twilight Zone'' is an anthology television series which was constructed from September 27, 1985 to April 15, 1989. It is the first of three revivals of Rod Serling's acclaimed 1959–64 television series, and like the original it featured a variety of speculative fiction, commonly containing characters from a seemingly normal world stumbling into paranormal circumstances. Unlike the original, however, most episodes contained multiple self-contained stories instead of just one. The voice-over narrations were still present, but were not a regular feature as they were in the original series; some episodes had only an opening narration, some had only a closing narration, and some had no narration at all. The multi-segment format liberated the series from the usual time constraints of episodic television, allowing stories ranging in length from 8-minutes to 40-minute mini-movies. "Children's Zoo" is the second segment of the third episode of the first season (1985–86) of the television series ''The Twilight Zone''. This is one of the few stories without narration. Plot Debbie is a four-year-old girl starved for attention because her parents are always fighting. Her mother yells at her and her father is too lazy to give her any quality time. Debbie asks her parents to take her to the Children's Zoo. A friend gave her an invitation which specifies that both parents must accompany the child. At the zoo, Debbie is directed to the children's entrance after the keeper confirms that her friend explained to her the nature of the Children's Zoo. Her parents are ostensibly taken to a waiting room. "Chameleon" is the third and final segment of the second episode of the first season (1985–86) of the television series ''The Twilight Zone''. In this segment, a team of scientists contend with a shape-shifting alien. Plot On an American Space Shuttle orbiting Earth, the onboard camera malfunctions and the astronauts shut it off. On Earth, technician Gerald Tyson and Crew Chief Simmons work on the shuttle after it lands; Simmons detaches the camera and takes it to be repaired. A blue light flashes and he disintegrates. Tyson calls an emergency alert. The camera is put in an isolation chamber using a robot. Alan Brennert
Alan Brennert (born May 30, 1954 in Englewood, New Jersey) is an American author, television producer, and screenwriter. Brennert has lived in Southern California since 1973 and completed graduate work in screenwriting at the University of California, Los Angeles. Career Television Alan Brennert's earliest television work was in 1978 when he wrote several scripts for the ''Wonder Woman'' series. He was story editor for the NBC series '' Buck Rogers in the 25th Century'' and wrote seven scripts for that series. He won an Emmy Award as a producer and writer for ''L.A. Law'' in 1991. Charles Leonard Aidman (January 21, 1925 – November 7, 1993) was an American actor of stage, film, and television. Early life Aidman was born in Frankfort, Indiana, the son of George E. and Etta (Kwitny) Aidman.
