Aaron Heal
Aaron Keith Heal (born 13 March 1983) is an Australian cricketer who played domestically for Western Australia and later the Melbourne Renegades. A left-arm orthodox spinner and capable lower-order batsman, Heal debuted during the 2003–04 season, and played in the team that won that season's ING Cup. He established himself in Western Australia's first-class (Sheffield Shield) and limited-overs ( Ford Ranger Cup) sides during the 2006–07 season, taking over from Brad Hogg as the team's primary spinner, but was selected less regularly over the following seasons. Heal's last first-class and one-day matches came during the 2010–11 season, but he was a regular when the team played in the KFC Twenty20 Big Bash, maintaining both a low economy rate and a low bowling average. His performances at Twenty20 led to his naming in Australia's initial 30 man squad for the 2009 ICC World Twenty20. Albert Victor Heal
Albert Victor Heal MC FRIBA (6 May 1887 – 1975) was an architect and designer based in England. Life He was born on 6 May 1887. He married Florence Isabel Reynolds. He worked in the offices of Rattee and Kett from 1904 to 1906. He was articled to Bodley and Hare from 1906 to 1913. He was assistant to Richard T Creed from 1913. He took over the practice of Richard Creed on his death in 1914. During the First World War he served with the Royal Field Artillery and Suffolk Yeomanry, and was awarded the Military Cross. He was in partnership with Cecil Greenwood Hare between 1919 and 1924. He was appointed a Fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects in November 1927. In the 1950s he entered partnership with R V Smith, and the company was known as Victor Heal & Partners. Ambrose Heal
Sir Ambrose Heal (3 September 1872 – 15 November 1959) was an English furniture designer and businessman in the first half of the 20th century. He served as the chairman of Heal's (then called Heal & Son) from 1913 to 1953. Early life Heal was born on 3 September 1872 in Crouch End, London, the eldest son of Ambrose Heal and Emily Maria Stephenson. His great-grandfather, John Harris Heal, founded the Heal's furniture manufacturing and retail business. He attended Marlborough College before serving a two-year apprenticeship to cabinetmakers James Plucknett in Warwick. This was followed by six months working for Graham and Biddle, furnishers, of London's Oxford Street. Felicity Margaret Heal, (born 24 September 1945) is a British historian and academic, specialising in early modern Britain. From 1980 to 2011, she was a lecturer at the University of Oxford and a Fellow of Jesus College, Oxford. She had previously taught or researched at Newnham College, Cambridge, the Open University, and the University of Sussex. Barbara Jane Heal (''née'' Kneale, born 21 October 1946) is a British philosopher, and since 2012, Emeritus Professor of Philosophy at the University of Cambridge. Biography Heal is daughter of a pair of notable Oxford philosophers William Calvert Kneale and Martha Kneale (née Hurst). She was educated at Oxford High School for Girls and New Hall, Cambridge, where she read first History before changing to Philosophy (Moral Sciences) after two years. She also took her PhD at Cambridge, working on problems in the philosophy of language. After two years of post-doctoral study in the US, at Princeton and Berkeley, she was appointed to a Lectureship at Newcastle University. Marc Heal
Marc Heal is an English musician, television producer and writer. He is best known as an industrial music artist of the 1990s, noted for mixing metal and techno with more traditional industrial sounds. His extroverted onstage behaviour was unusual in the generally downbeat industrial genre. His most influential project was Cubanate, founded 1992 with Graham Rayner, Phil Barry and Steve Etheridge. Cubanate produced four studio albums. Their final album release, ''Interference'', came out in 1998. They reformed in 2010, and released a re-mastered greatest hits album, ''Brutalism'', in 2017. Michael George Heal (born 8 September 1948) is a former English first-class cricketer who played for Oxford University in the late 1960s and early 1970s, winning a Blue in 1970 and 1972. He also played for Gloucestershire's Second XI, and had one List A outing for their first team in 1973. He was born in Bristol. As a career batting average of under 16 shows, Heal was generally unsuccessful as a batsman, but against Warwickshire in April 1972 he made an unbeaten 124, the highest score by far of his first-class career, to help set up a two-wicket victory. Rachel Elisabeth Heal (born 1 April 1973) is an English former racing cyclist, who currently works a directeur sportif for UCI Women's Continental Team . Career Professional career Heal originally took up cycling when she was at Birmingham University as a means of transportation. She joined British Cycling's World Class Performance Plan in 2001 to become a full-time cyclist. She turned professional and rode for the Farm Frites team after obtaining a degree in chemical engineering. She has competed in world championships, Commonwealth Games and the Olympic Games. Heal is also a British Cycling level 2 coach, and a qualified personal trainer.
