Heads Up With Richard Herring
''Heads Up with Richard Herring'' or ''HUWRH'', is a British celebrity chat show written by and starring Richard Herring, who is best known as one half of comedy duo Lee and Herring, the stars of BBC Two shows ''Fist of Fun'' and '' This Morning With Richard Not Judy''. ''HUWRH'' featured professional poker players and celebrities talking about their lives, their careers and their love of poker. The title is a reference to poker terminology, meaning a game where only two players remain at the end of the game. Richard would interview each guest individually during the show. The show was hosted in an evening chat show format in front of a studio audience. It was the first UK produced Poker chatshow. The regular structure features an opening monologue by Richard followed by interviews with three guests from the world of poker and entertainment. Richard Herring
Richard Keith Herring (born 12 July 1967) is an English stand-up comedian and writer, whose early work includes the comedy double act Lee and Herring (alongside Stewart Lee). He is described by ''The British Theatre Guide'' as "one of the leading hidden masters of modern British comedy". Towards the end of the double act, Herring also worked as a writer, producing four plays. After Lee and Herring went their separate ways he co-wrote the sitcom ''Time Gentlemen Please'', but quickly returned to performance with concept-driven one-person shows like '' Talking Cock'', ''Hitler Moustache'' and ''Christ on a Bike'' as well as regular circuit stand-up. Herring has created thirteen of these stand-up shows since 2004, performing them for eleven consecutive years at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, with annual tours and a final performance recorded for DVD. Norman Pace
Norman John Pace (born 17 February 1953 in Dudley, Worcestershire) is an English actor and comedian, best known as one half of the comedy duo Hale and Pace with his friend and comic partner Gareth Hale. Both former teachers, they fronted several television programmes jointly, most notably ''Hale and Pace'', ''Pushing Up Daisies'', ''h&p@bbc'' and ''Jobs for the Boys''. John McCririck
John Michael McCririck (17 April 1940 – 5 July 2019) was an English horse racing pundit, television personality and journalist. Marty Wilson (1957 – 26 July 2019) was an English professional poker player from Wolverhampton. His nickname originates from when, as a teenager, he escaped several rival football fans by jumping into a polar bear pit. His extensive career dates back to an early World Series of Poker visit in 1985. However he first gained public notoriety by finishing runner-up in the £300 Pot Limit Hold-Em event at the Victoria Casino in London.
