Head Set was an American alternative rock band based in California, United States. History Formation Originally known as Don Knotts Overdrive (DKO), this Hollywood-based performance art/rock ensemble began their career in 1993, consisting of Howard Hallis (today, an artist), Taylor Stacy (Magic Pacer, Erin Martin Band, Deletists, Reverz Engineers, Electromagnetic), Bobby Hecksher (Charles Brown Superstar, Magic Pacer, The Warlocks), Bob Mustachio (Magic Pacer, The Warlocks) and Daniel Meyer (Dashboard Prophets, Farflung). Originally visually and shock-rock based, dressing as monsters, superheroes, animals, naked, etc., the LA party band released a 7" single in 1994 on Wrong Dimension Records. Don Knotts
Jesse Donald Knotts (July 21, 1924February 24, 2006) was an American actor and comedian. He is widely known for his role as Deputy Sheriff Barney Fife on ''The Andy Griffith Show'', a 1960s sitcom for which he earned five Emmy Awards. He also played Ralph Furley on the highly rated sitcom ''Three's Company'' from 1979 to 1984. He starred in multiple comedic films, including the leading roles in ''The Ghost and Mr. Chicken'' (1966) and ''The Incredible Mr. Limpet'' (1964). In 2004, ''TV Guide'' ranked him number 27 on its 50 Greatest TV Stars of All Time list. Knotts was born in West Virginia, the youngest of four children. Exene Cervenka (born Christene Lee Cervenka; February 1, 1956) is an American singer, artist, and poet. She is best known for her work as a singer in the California punk rock band X. Music career The 21-year-old Cervenka met 23-year-old musician John Doe at a poetry workshop at the Beyond Baroque Foundation in Venice, California. Cervenka started working there. Billy Zoom (guitar) and John Doe (bass and vocals) founded X in 1977, with D.J. Bonebrake coming aboard as drummer. Doe asked Cervenka to join soon after as a co-lead vocalist, and the duo were also the band's primary songwriters. "Relax" is a song by English synth-pop band Frankie Goes to Hollywood, released in the United Kingdom by ZTT Records in 1983. It was the band's debut single. The hit version, produced by Trevor Horn and featuring the band along with other musicians, entered the UK Top 75 singles chart in November 1983 but did not crack the Top 40 until early January 1984.
