''Head'' is a 1968 American satire (film and television), satirical Musical film, musical adventure film written and produced by Jack Nicholson and Bob Rafelson, directed by Rafelson, starring television rock group the Monkees (Davy Jones (musician), Davy Jones, Peter Tork, Micky Dolenz and Michael Nesmith) and distributed by Columbia Pictures. During production, one of the working titles for the film was ''Changes'', which was later the name of an Changes (The Monkees album), album by the Monkees. Another working title was ''Untitled''. A rough cut of the film was previewed for audiences in Los Angeles in the summer of 1968 under the title ''Movee Untitled''. The film featured Victor Mature as "The Big Victor" and cameo appearances by Nicholson, Teri Garr, Carol Doda, Annette Funicello, Frank Zappa, Sonny Liston, Timothy Carey, Percy Helton and Ray Nitschke. Bob Rafelson
Robert Jay Rafelson (February 21, 1933 – July 23, 2022) was an American film director, writer, and producer. He is regarded as one of the key figures in the founding of the New Hollywood movement of the 1970s. Among his best-known films as a director include those made as part of the company he cofounded, Raybert/BBS Productions, ''Five Easy Pieces'' (1970) and ''The King of Marvin Gardens'' (1972), as well as acclaimed later films, '' The Postman Always Rings Twice'' (1981) and '' Mountains of the Moon'' (1990). Ken Thorne
Kenneth Thorne (26 January 1924 – 9 July 2014) was a British television and film score composer. Early life Thorne was born in Dereham, a town in the English county of Norfolk. Thorne began his musical career as a pianist with the big bands of England during the 1940s, playing at night clubs and the dance halls. At age 27, Thorne decided to seriously study composition with private tutors at Cambridge and later studied the organ for five years in London. Film scoring Thorne began composing scores for films in 1948. He was considered Richard Lester's composer of choice since their first work together on ''It's Trad, Dad!'' (1962), ''Help!'' Gerald Desmond Bridge
The 1968 Gerald Desmond Bridge was a through arch bridge that carried five lanes of Ocean Boulevard from Interstate 710 in Long Beach, California, west across the Back Channel to Terminal Island. The bridge was named after Gerald Desmond, a prominent civic leader and a former city attorney for the City of Long Beach. Dennis Hopper
Dennis Lee Hopper (May 17, 1936 – May 29, 2010) was an American actor, filmmaker and photographer. Percy Alfred Helton (January 31, 1894 – September 11, 1971) was an American stage, film, and television actor. He was one of the most familiar faces and voices in Hollywood of the 1950s. ''Changes'' is the ninth studio album by the Monkees. The album was issued after Michael Nesmith's exit from the band, leaving only Micky Dolenz and Davy Jones to fulfill the recording contract they had signed in the mid-1960s. ''Changes'' was their last new album for Colgems Records and the group's last album of all new material until ''Pool It!'', released in 1987. History The album's title had originally been considered for the Monkees' movie (released in 1968), and a song with that title (cowritten by Jones with Steve Pitts) had been recorded. The Monkees
