Hazboun (Arabic:حزبون) is the surname of a native Christian family from Bethlehem, a town in the West Bank (Palestine). The Hazboun family's legendary history is said to have included ancestors from the royal family in Portugal that migrated to The Holy Land (Bethlehem, Palestine) during one of The Crusades. Franzi Hato Hasbún Barake (1946 in San Salvador – 30 August 2017) was a Salvadoran politician of Palestinian origin. He was a sociologist and a specialist in political, electoral, international cooperation. He was further well versed in matters relating to public opinion. Hasbún held a master's degree in sociology, philosophy and journalism research. Since 2009 he holds the reins of the Secretariat of Strategic Affairs of the Presidency. Bethlehem (; ar, بيت لحم ; he, בֵּית לֶחֶם '' '') is a city in the central West Bank, Palestine, about south of Jerusalem. Juan Pereda Asbún (17 June 1931 – 25 November 2012) was a Bolivian military general who served as the ''de facto'' 52nd president of Bolivia in 1978. Although he ruled for only four months, his ascent to the presidency marked the beginning of the most unstable period in Bolivian history, with nine presidents in a little over 4 years (1978–1982), in comparison to only one in the previous seven.
