Haywood Highsmith
Haywood Lee Highsmith Jr. (born December 9, 1996) is an American professional basketball player for the Miami Heat of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Highsmith was born in Baltimore. He played college basketball for Wheeling Jesuit University and was the NCAA Division II Player of the Year as a senior in 2018. After not being selected in the 2018 NBA draft, Highsmith began his professional basketball career with the Delaware Blue Coats of the NBA G League in 2018. Late in the 2018–19 season, Highsmith made his NBA debut with the Blue Coats' parent team Philadelphia 76ers. In later years, Highsmith played in multiple stints with the Blue Coats, the Crailsheim Merlins of the German Basketball Bundesliga, and the Miami Heat of the NBA. Mountain East Conference Men's Basketball Tournament
The Mountain East Conference men's basketball tournament is the annual conference basketball championship tournament for the Mountain East Conference. The tournament has been held annually since the MEC's establishment in 2013, with the first tournament taking place in 2014. It is a single-elimination tournament and seeding is based on regular season records. From 2014 to 2018, the tournament was hosted by the Charleston Civic Center in Charleston, West Virginia. Following several years of low attendance, the league announce it would move the event to the Wheeling Civic Center for at least 2019 and 2020. Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association
The Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association (M.I.A.A.) is a boys' sports conference for private high schools generally located in the Baltimore metropolitan area but extending to various other regions, including the state's mostly rural Eastern Shore. The M.I.A.A. has 27 member schools and offers competition in 17 sports. In most sports, it offers multiple levels of competition, including Varsity, Junior Varsity, and Freshmen-Sophomore teams, and the conference is broken down by separate leagues in each. In addition, members are sorted in accordance to continual performance; categories include 'A', 'B', or 'C' Conferences. Wheeling University (WU, formerly Wheeling Jesuit University) is a private Roman Catholic university in Wheeling, West Virginia. Deonte Harty (born Deonte Harris, December 4, 1997) is an American football wide receiver and return specialist for the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League (NFL). The Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) (English language: ''Federal Basketball League''), for sponsorship reasons named easyCredit BBL, is the highest level league of professional club basketball in Germany. The league comprises 18 teams. A BBL season is split into a league stage and a playoff stage. At the end of the league stage, the top eight teams qualify for the playoff stage, and the teams positioned in the 17th and 18th places are relegated to a lower-tier league.
