Hayward Clay
Hayward John Clay Jr. (born July 5, 1973) is a former American football tight end in the National Football League (NFL) for the St. Louis Rams and Dallas Cowboys. He played college football at Texas A&M University. Early years Clay attended Snyder High School, where he was used as a blocking tight end in a run-oriented offense. He accepted a football scholarship from Texas A&M University, where he had the same role as a blocking tight end. In 1992, he played in 13 games as a freshman, catching one pass for 11 yards for a team that went 12–1. However, the Aggies lost the Cotton Bowl 28–3 to Notre Dame. In 1993, he appeared in 11 games as a sophomore, while making five receptions for 85 yards. Again the Aggies lost the Cotton Bowl to Notre Dame. Texas A&M University

David LaFleur
David Alan LaFleur (born January 29, 1974) is a former American football tight end in the National Football League (NFL) for the Dallas Cowboys. He played college football at Louisiana State University. Early years LaFleur attended Westlake High School, where he played tight end and defensive end. He also practiced basketball and track. As a junior, he had 31 receptions for 657 yards and 8 touchdowns. In his last year, he posted 31 receptions for 652 yards and 5 touchdowns, while being named the Louisiana High School player of the year, All-American, and being part of the ''USA Today'' All-USA high school football team. 1998 NFL Season
The 1998 NFL season was the 79th regular season of the National Football League. The season culminated with Super Bowl XXXIII, with the Denver Broncos defeating the Atlanta Falcons 34–19 at Pro Player Stadium in Miami. The Broncos had won their first thirteen games, the best start since the undefeated 1972 Dolphins, and were tipped by some to have a realistic chance at winning all nineteen games. 1997 NFL Season
The 1997 NFL season was the 78th regular season of the National Football League. The Oilers relocated from Houston, Texas to Nashville, Tennessee. The newly renamed Tennessee Oilers played their home games during this season at the Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium in Memphis, Tennessee while construction of a new stadium in Nashville started. Houston would rejoin the NFL with the expansion Texans in 2002. Due to Game 7 of the 1997 World Series, the Chicago Bears–Miami Dolphins game at Pro Player Stadium was delayed one day to Monday, October 27. The season ended with Super Bowl XXXII when the Denver Broncos defeated the Green Bay Packers 31–24 at Qualcomm Stadium. 1996 NFL Draft
The 1996 NFL draft was the procedure by which National Football League teams selected amateur college football players. It is officially known as the NFL Annual Player Selection Meeting. The draft was held April 20–21, 1996, at the Paramount Theatre at Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York. No teams chose to claim any players in the supplemental draft that year. On draft day, the St. Louis Rams traded running back Jerome Bettis and a third-round draft pick to the Pittsburgh Steelers in exchange for a second round pick for that year, as well as a fourth round pick the following year. The trade was made immediately after the Rams drafted Nebraska running back Lawrence Phillips. Bettis went on to have a successful career with the Steelers as well as being one of the team's most popular players, while the Rams wouldn't have another feature back until they traded for Marshall Faulk three years later due to Phillips' off-field problems. A touchdown (abbreviated as TD) is a scoring play in gridiron football. Whether running, passing, returning a kickoff or punt, or recovering a turnover, a team scores a touchdown by advancing the ball into the opponent's end zone. In American football, a touchdown is worth six points and is followed by an extra point or two-point conversion attempt. 1994 Texas A&M Aggies Football Team
The 1994 Texas A&M Aggies football team represented Texas A&M University in the 1994 NCAA Division I-A football season. The Aggies completed the season with a 10–0–1 record overall and a Southwest Conference mark of 6–0–1. They were ineligible to win the Southwest Conference title or the postseason due to probation. Due to NCAA sanctions, Texas A&M was also banned from television for the 1994 season. Only one other team has been banned from television since, the 1995 Ole Miss Rebels. Coincidentally, Aggie defensive coordinator Tommy Tuberville left after this season to become Ole Miss' head coach. The television ban caused the traditional rivalry game vs. Texas to be moved from Thanksgiving night to the first Saturday of November. The 1994 Mobil Cotton Bowl Classic was the fifty-eighth edition of the college football bowl game, played January 1, 1994, at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas.
