Western Armenian
Western Armenian ( Classical spelling: , ) is one of the two standardized forms of Modern Armenian, the other being Eastern Armenian. It is based mainly on the Istanbul Armenian dialect, as opposed to Eastern Armenian, which is mainly based on the Yerevan Armenian dialect. Until the early 20th century, various Western Armenian dialects were also spoken in the Ottoman Empire, especially in the eastern regions historically populated by Armenians known as Western Armenia. The spoken or dialectal varieties of Western Armenian currently in use include Homshetsi, spoken by the Hemshin peoples; the dialects of Armenians of Kessab, Latakia and Jisr al-Shughur of Syria, Anjar of Lebanon, and Istanbul and Vakıflı, of Turkey (part of the "Sueidia" dialect). Hayko
Hayk "Hayko" Hakobyan ( hy, Հայկ Հակոբյան; 25 August 1973 – 29 September 2021) was an Armenian singer and songwriter. Biography Hayko was born on 25 August 1973 in Yerevan, Armenia (then part of the Soviet Union). He studied at Yerevan Secondary School No. 170, then in Secondary School No. 32 named after Hovhannes Tumanyan. In 1987, he graduated from the Yerkhani Chukhachyan Music School and was admitted to R. Melikyan Music College. He started his music career in 1996 with his first song ''Love'' ( hy, link=no, Սեր). He won Armenia's national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 in Helsinki. He represented Armenia in the Eurovision Song Contest in the final with the song " Anytime You Need". The song placed eighth in the contest. Hayko Cepkin
Hayko Cepkin (born 11 March 1978) is a Turkish musician of Armenian descent. Beginnings Hayko Cepkin has shared the stage with the likes of Kurban, Öztürk, Birol Namoğlu, Ogün Sanlısoy, Aylin Aslım, Koray Candemir and Demir Demirkan. Some of these artists have regularly contributed to his albums as well. He has also worked as a composer, and composed and arranged the Yeni Türkü "''Kimdi Giden''" on Murathan Mungan's album ''Söz Vermiş Şarkılar'', which was song by Aylin Aslım. He also had a duet with Ogün Sanlısoy on the song "''Korkma''". He was also involved in Sanlısoy's album as a keyboard player for the song "''Kaybettik Severken''". Other ventures Cepkin has organized and appeared in many events in relation to his music career. Hayko Mko ( hy, Հայկո Մկո) was an Armenian comedian duo made up of Hayk Marutyan (known as Hayko) and Mkrtich Arzumanyan (known as Mko). They are best known from ''Kargin Haghordum'' and '' Kargin Serial'', two popular comedy shows starring Hayko and Mko as main actors. Currently, they do not work together. Hayk Margaryan ( hy, Հայկ Մարգարյան; born June 28, 1985), better known by his stage name HT Hayko, ( hy, ՀՏ Հայկո) is an Armenian rapper from Yerevan, Armenia. Early life Hayk Margaryan was born on June 28, 1985 in Yerevan. He graduated from School No.55 after Chekhov. Then he went to Sayat-Nova Musical School, where he learned how to play piano and trumpet. Later, Hayk graduated from the State Engineering University as an electrician. Music career Hayko started his music career in 2001, when he founded the Hay Tgheq group with Misho. It was the first ever rap group in Armenia. Together they released two albums, eight music videos, and held concerts in Armenia as well as other countries. It dissolved in 2007. Since then, Misho and Hayko work separately.
