	Hawkman Hawkman is the name of several superheroes appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. Created by writer Gardner Fox and artist Dennis Neville, the original Hawkman first appeared in ''Flash Comics'' #1, published by All-American Publications in 1940. 	Hawkman (Katar Hol) Hawkman (Katar Hol) is a DC Comics superhero. He is the Silver Age of Comic Books, Silver Age, Bronze Age of Comic Books, Bronze Age and New 52 Hawkman. Created by Gardner Fox and Joe Kubert, he first appeared in ''The Brave and the Bold'' #34 (February–March 1961). There are two separate origins of Carter Hall; the Golden Age origin and the Post-Hawkworld (or current) origin. 	Hawkman (Fel Andar) Fel Andar is a DC Comics character who also called himself Hawkman. There are two different versions of Fel Andar: the pre- Hawkworld version (named Fell Andar) was created by Tony Isabella and Richard Howell, while the post-Hawkworld version was created by John Ostrander and Graham Nolan. 	Prince Vultan Prince Vultan is a fictional character in the ''Flash Gordon'' comic strip and its adaptations. Vultan is the ruler of the Winged Bird-Men, a race of flying extraterrestrials who dwell in Sky City, a metropolis that floats in the sky. He fits the archetype of the Viking: strong, hearty, and with a great appetite for life, food, drink, and women (particularly Flash's girlfriend, Dale Arden). In the comics Prince Vultan is introduced as a reluctant ally of main villain Ming the Merciless; he resents Ming's domination but does not oppose it out of fear of reprisal. 	Kinnikuman is a Japanese manga series created by the duo Yoshinori Nakai and Takashi Shimada, known as Yudetamago. It follows Suguru Kinniku, a superhero who must win a wrestling tournament to retain the title of prince of Planet Kinniku. Nakai and Takashi planned the series when they were attending high school originally as a parody to ''Ultraman''. The manga was originally published in Shueisha's ''shōnen'' manga magazine ''Weekly Shōnen Jump'' from 1979 to 1987, and was first adapted by Toei Animation into a 137-episode anime series broadcast on Nippon Television from 1983 to 1986. It restarted publication in 2011 in Shueisha's web magazine ''Shū Play News'', and has spawned spin-off manga and anime series, video games, anime films, and several ''Kinnikuman''-related merchandise.
