''Hawa'' () is a 2022 Bangladeshi mystery-drama film written and directed by Mejbaur Rahman Sumon. The film is produced by A Facecard Productions and Sun Music & Motion Pictures Limited. The film stars Chanchal Chowdhury, Nazifa Tushi, Sariful Razz, Sumon Anowar, Shohel Mondol, Nasir Uddin Khan and Rizvi Rizu among others. The film released on 29 July 2022 in 24 cinemas and received positive reviews. From Bangladesh ''Hawa'' has been sent for nomination into the 'Best International Feature Film' category of the 95th Academy Awards, by the Oscar Committee Bangladesh. Synopsis The film depicts the journey of an all-men team on a fishing trawler, eventually where the mystery of life and relationships gets re-interpreted. The usual fishing mission of a group of seasoned boatmen of Cox's Bazar finds an unheard-of catch in the deep of the sea. Chanchal Chowdhury
Suchinta Chowdhury Chanchal ( bn, সুচিন্ত চৌধুরী চঞ্চল), known as Chanchal Chowdhury ( bn, চঞ্চল চৌধুরী), is a Bangladeshi actor. Critically acclaimed for his performances in ''Rupkothar Golpo'' (2006), ''Monpura'' (2009), ''Television'' (2012), '' Aynabaji'' (2016), '' Debi'' (2018) and ''Hawa'' (2022). Abdur Razzak (actor)
Abdur Razzak (23 January 1942 – 21 August 2017) (known as Razzak) was a Bangladeshi actor and film director. He was dubbed Nayak Raj Razzak (King of Heroes), a term introduced by Ahmed Zaman Chowdhury, editor of the magazine ''Chitrali''. Razzak won the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Actor five times for his roles in the films '' Ki Je Kori'' (1976), ''Ashikkhito'' (1978), ''Boro Bhalo Lok Chhilo'' (1982), ''Chandranath'' (1984) and ''Jogajog'' (1988). ''Abhijan'' ( bn, অভিযান) is a 1984 Bangladeshi film starring Ilias Kanchan and Anjana Sultana opposite him. Mahfuzur Rahman Khan bagged Bangladesh National Film Awards for Best Cinematographer. ''Sea Fog'' (; ''Haemoo'') is a 2014 South Korean film directed by Shim Sung-bo. 28th Kolkata International Film Festival
The 28th Kolkata International Film Festival was held from 15th to 22nd December 2022 at Netaji Indoor Stadium, in Kolkata, India. The festival opened with 1973 film '' Abhimaan'', by Hrishikesh Mukherjee. 183 films including 130 feature films and 52 short and documentary films from 42 countries were screened during 7 days of the festival. The opening ceremony was attended by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji, Mahesh Bhatt and cricketer Sourav Ganguly. The festival closed on 22 December at Rabindra Sadan hosted by Saheb Chatterjee.
