Haven (TV Series)
''Haven'' is an American-Canadian supernatural drama television series loosely based on the Stephen King novel ''The Colorado Kid'' (2005). The show, which dealt with strange events in a fictional town in Maine named Haven, was filmed on the Southern Nova Scotia, South Shore of Nova Scotia, and was an American/Canadian co-production. It starred Emily Rose (actress), Emily Rose, Lucas Bryant, Nicholas Campbell and Eric Balfour, whose characters struggle to help townspeople with supernatural afflictions and protect the town from the effects of those afflictions. The show was the creation of writers Jim Dunn (writer), Jim Dunn and Sam Ernst. The one-hour drama premiered on July 9, 2010, on Syfy, and concluded on December 17, 2015. In August 2015, Syfy cancelled the series after five seasons. War World (series)
War World is a series of collaborative science fiction books set in the CoDominium universe of Jerry Pournelle, some novels being co-authored by John F. Carr and Don Hawthorne, as well as Larry Niven and S. M. Stirling. It consists of ten short story anthologies by various authors as well as six novels. It was released in December for Windows, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, while versions for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch were released in February 2021. Haven is a fictional town on the Maine coast, which is the center of events in the supernatural TV series '' Haven''. (There is however, a town in Knox county Maine called North Haven, Maine) It is not far by boat to Camden (placing it in either Waldo or Knox counties) and the police send forensic material to Bangor (although, the state's only forensic lab is actually in Augusta). Images of Haven are mainly derived from the town of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, which is one of the main locations where the series is filmed, along with the village of Chester, Nova Scotia, which provides many of the shop fronts used in the series. The Alliance is a fictional group of comic book extraterrestrials published by DC Comics. They first appeared in ''JLA/Haven: The Arrival'' #1 (January 2002), and were created by Ashley-Jayne Nicolaus, Matthew P. Schuster, and Ariel Olivetti. Haven were an English indie rock band, formed in Cornwall in 1996. The band consisted of singer Gary Briggs, guitarist Nathan Wason, bassist Iwan Gronow and drummer Tom Lewis. ''Haven'' is the fifth studio album by Swedish melodic death metal band Dark Tranquillity, released on 25 July 2000.
