The Hausstein is a mountain in Bavaria, Germany. The Hausstein ("House-stone") is a mountain in the Anterior Bavarian Forest, southwest of the Lower Bavarian town of Regen, and northeast of the town of Deggendorf, and is located in the municipality of Schaufling, in the district of Deggendorf. The village of Zell in the Bavarian Forest The Bavarian Forest (German: ' or ''Bayerwald''; bar, Boarischa Woid) is a wooded, low-mountain region in Bavaria, Germany that is about 100 kilometres long. Gneiss ( ) is a common and widely distributed type of metamorphic rock.
