Hausen, Miltenberg
Hausen is a community in the Miltenberg district in the ''Regierungsbezirk'' of Lower Franconia (''Unterfranken'') in Bavaria, Germany and a member of the ''Verwaltungsgemeinschaft'' (Administrative Community) of Kleinwallstadt. Geography Location Hausen lies in the Bavarian Lower Main (''Bayerischer Untermain'') Region. The community has only the ''Gemarkung'' (traditional rural cadastral area) of Hausen. History The settlements of Oberhausen and Unterhausen, once part of the Archbishopric of Mainz, became in accordance with the 1803 Reichsdeputationshauptschluss part of Prince Primate von Dalberg’s newly formed Principality of Aschaffenburg, with which it passed in 1814 (by this time it had become a department of the Grand Duchy of Frankfurt) to Bavaria. Bad Krozingen
Bad Krozingen (; Alemannic: ''Bad Chrotzige'') is a spa town in the district Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald, in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is situated 15 km southwest of Freiburg. In the 1970s, the previously independent villages Biengen, Hausen an der Möhlin, Schlatt and Tunsel, including Schmidhofen, became part of Bad Krozingen. Geography Location Bad Krozingen is located in Breisgau, about 15 km southwest of Freiburg and 45 km north of Basel, surrounded by corn and tobacco fields. Together with Staufen the town forms a middle-order centre. The river Neumagen flows through the town, then into the Möhlin near Biengen, which flows into the Rhine at Breisach. Christian August Hausen
Christian August Hausen (1693–1743) was a German mathematician who is known for his research on electricity. Biography Hausen studied mathematics at the University of Wittenberg and received his master's degree in 1712. Friedrich Von Hausen
Friedrich von Hausen (Middle High German: Friderich von Hûsen) was a medieval German poet, one of the earliest of the Minnesingers; born sometime between 1150–60; d. 6 May 1190. Life His name is mentioned frequently in legal documents, for the first time in one from Mainz dated 1171 by Christian I, Archbishop of Mainz. He was born in middle Rhenish territory, as is shown by his dialect, especially by his rhymes, but several towns claim to be his birthplace, and the question cannot be definitely decided. In 1175 he was in Italy, and again in 1186 in the suite of Henry VI, Holy Roman Emperor. The next year he was present when Frederick I, Barbarossa and Philip Augustus met between Mouzon and Yvois, and in 1188 he was at Worms in the company of Baldwin V, Count of Hainaut. Hausen (crater)
Hausen is a large lunar impact crater that lies along the south-southwestern limb of the Moon. The visibility of this crater is significantly affected by libration effects, although even under the best of conditions it is viewed nearly from on edge. It lies along the western edge of the immense walled plain Bailly. To the northeast is the crater Pingré on the near side, and to the north is the Arrhenius just on the far side of the lunar limb. The rim of this crater is generally circular, with an outward bulge to the south-southeast. The inner wall is terraced at the northern and southern ends, and is more irregular along the eastern and western flanks. The rim along the east and southeast flanks displays slumping, producing a sharp edge. Hausen Bei Brugg
Hausen (prior to 2003: Hausen bei Brugg) is a municipality in the district of Brugg in canton of Aargau in Switzerland. History Iron Age graves near Hausen indicate that the area has a long history. The current village is built over a Roman era town, of which the remains of buildings, roads and water lines (including one that is still in operation) are still visible. Modern Hausen is first mentioned in 1254 as ''Husen''. Hausen was part of the original Habsburg lands (german: Eigenamt). Religiously it was part of the parish of Windisch until 1978 when the village built its own Reformed Church. Economically, agriculture (especially vineyards) dominated. Though since the 18th Century, the textile industry has also been important in the village. During the Middle Ages limestone was quarried and in the 2nd half of the 19th Century clay was mined. Meiringen () is a municipality in the Interlaken-Oberhasli administrative district in the canton of Bern in Switzerland.
