Haunted Cities
''Haunted Cities'' is the second studio album by the American punk rock/ hip hop band Transplants. It was released on June 21, 2005 via LaSalle Records/Atlantic Records, and sold close to 34,000 copies in its first week and came in at #28 on the US ''Billboard'' 200, #72 on the UK Albums Chart, #140 on the Top 200 Albums France. Production Audio production of the record was handled by Tim Armstrong and Dave Carlock. Rancid's Matt Freeman, The Slackers' Vic Ruggiero, Cypress Hill's B-Real and Sen Dog, Dilated Peoples' Rakaa, and Boo-Yaa T.R.I.B.E. made their appearances on the album as additional musicians and vocalists. Houston-based rapper Paul Wall made screwed and chopped version of the album, released months later the same year. Transplants (band)
The Transplants are an American punk rock/rap rock supergroup. They formed in 1999 when Tim Armstrong (of the bands Rancid and Operation Ivy) played his friend and roadie Rob Aston some beats he had made using Pro Tools and asked Aston if he would consider contributing lyrics. Initially, Armstrong played all the instruments himself, but as the project grew, he invited musician friends such as Matt Freeman (Rancid), Lars Frederiksen (Rancid), and Vic Ruggiero (The Slackers) to add to the sound. Before long, Armstrong and Aston decided to officially form a band, but to make things complete, they wanted a drummer, so Travis Barker from Blink-182 was asked to join in 2002. After the release of their first album, Transplants briefly disbanded in 2003, due to all members being involved in their own projects, including Rancid and Blink-182. Paul Michael Slayton (born March 11, 1981), better known by his stage name Paul Wall, is an American rapper and DJ. He has spent much of his career affiliated with Swishahouse Records, and has released several albums under the label and collaborated with numerous other rappers signed to the label. Dilated Peoples is an American hip hop group from Los Angeles, California. They have had little mainstream success in the US, with the exception of the song " This Way", a 2004 collaboration with Kanye West. Better known in the UK, they reached the Top 40 of the UK Singles Chart with two tracks, "This Way" and "Worst Comes to Worst." Members include DJ Babu (producer/DJ), Evidence (MC/producer) and Rakaa (MC). Their songs were featured in the 2003 video games '' Need for Speed: Underground'' and ''NBA Street Vol. 2''. Senen Reyes (born November 22, 1965), also known by his stage name Sen Dog, is a Cuban-American rapper and musician who is best known as a member of the rap group Cypress Hill and as the lead vocalist for the heavy metal band Powerflo. He has been developing a solo career in addition to his work with Cypress Hill and Powerflo, and is the lead vocalist for rap rock band SX-10. Career Sen Dog is a member of the rap group Cypress Hill, with whom he has had multiple albums in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 album chart (including the No. 1 album Black Sunday). Louis Mario Freese (born June 2, 1970), known by his stage name B-Real, is an American rapper. Since 1991, he has been one of two lead rappers in the hip hop group Cypress Hill, along with Sen Dog. He has also been a part of the rap metal band Kush (2000–2002), the hip hop supergroup Serial Killers (2013-present) and the rap rock supergroup Prophets of Rage (2016–2019). The Slackers
The Slackers are an American ska band, formed in Manhattan, New York in 1991. The band's sound is a mix of ska, rocksteady, reggae, dub, soul, garage rock, and jazz. The Slackers' notability is credited to their prolific career, tours of North America, Europe, and elsewhere, and signing to notable punk label Hellcat Records.
