Haukur Clausen
Haukur Clausen (8 November 1928 – 1 May 2003) was an Olympian and a dentist. Family life Clausen's father was Arreboe Clausen, a merchant and later chauffeur (5 November 1892 – 8 December 1956) and his mother was Sesselja Þorsteinsdóttir Clausen (born 28 December 1905). Haukur had a twin brother, Örn, and a half-brother, Alfreð Clausen (born 1918). On 6 January 1951 Clausen married Margrét Þóra Hallgrímsson, with whom he had Örn Friðrik (born 13 July 1951), but they separated just a year later. He married someone else thereafter, with whom he had Anna Marie (born 25 November 1954) and Haukur Arreboe (born 9 October 1959). His last wife was Elín Hrefna Thorarensen (born 17 February 1944), whom he married on 11 March 1967, and by whom he had Ragnheiður Elín (born 16 May 1968) and Þórunn Erna Clausen, an actress (born 12 September 1975). Margrét Þóra Hallgrímsson
Margrét Þóra Hallgrímsson (28 January 1930 – 27 August 2020), also referred as Thora Hallgrimsdottir, was an Icelandic socialite and aristocrat who was the wife of the businessman Björgólfur Guðmundsson and like him was a prominent figure in the cultural and business life of Iceland from around 2002 to 2008. She was also the former wife of American Nazi Party founder George Lincoln Rockwell. Family and surname Þóra was born in Reykjavík, the eldest daughter of Hallgrímur Fr. Hallgrímsson, chairman of Royal Dutch Shell in Iceland and consul in Canada, and his wife Margrét Þorbjörg Thors Hallgrímsson, daughter of the businessman Thor Philip Axel Jensen. The men's 200 metres sprint event at the 1948 Summer Olympics took place between 2 August and 3 August. There were 51 competitors from 28 nations. The maximum number of athletes per nation had been set at 3 since the 1930 Olympic Congress. The final was won by American Mel Patton. His countryman Barney Ewell earned silver, making this the third consecutive Games the United States took the top two spots in the event. Lloyd La Beach's bronze gave Panama a medal in its debut in the event. Background This was the 10th appearance of the event, which was not held at the first Olympics in 1896 but has been on the program ever since. Þórunn Erna Clausen
Þórunn Erna Clausen (born 12 September 1975) is an Icelandic actress and songwriter. Clausen is the daughter of Olympic athlete and dentist Haukur Clausen. She studied drama at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London and graduated in 2001. In 2004, Clausen won an Edda Award for her supporting role in the Icelandic film, ''Dís''. Clausen was married to the musician Sjonni Brink who together composed " Coming Home", Iceland's entry to the Eurovision Song Contest 2011. Brink died before his first performance in the third semi-final of Söngvakeppni Sjónvarpsins 2011.
