"The Dicks Hate the Police" (usually shortened to "Hate the Police") is the debut release and 7-inch single from the American hardcore punk band The Dicks, released in 1980. The record was released on the band's own Radical Records imprint. Mudhoney included a cover of the song on ''Superfuzz Bigmuff Plus Early Singles''. Mudhoney
Mudhoney is an American rock band formed in Seattle, Washington, in 1988, following the demise of Green River. Its members are singer and rhythm guitarist Mark Arm, lead guitarist Steve Turner, bassist Guy Maddison and drummer Dan Peters. Original bassist Matt Lukin left the band in 1999. Mudhoney's early releases on the Sub Pop label, particularly their debut single "Touch Me I'm Sick" and the ''Superfuzz Bigmuff'' EP, were instrumental in the creation of the Grunge genre. ''Superfuzz Bigmuff Plus Early Singles'' is a compilation album by the grunge band Mudhoney. The album contains the entire Superfuzz Bigmuff EP, the A-sides and B-sides of 2 singles, and 2 covers from split singles with Sonic Youth and The Dicks. It was released by Sub Pop Records in October 1990.
