Hassan Rabia
Hassan Rabia Suwaidan Al-Hosni ( ar, حسن ربيع سويدان الحوسني; born 1 February 1984), commonly known as Hassan Rabia, is an Omani association football, footballer who plays for Al-Suwaiq Club in Oman Professional League. Club career Hassan started his career with Majees SC and stayed there till 2008. He then moved on loan to Oman First Division League side Al-Suwaiq Club where he made his breakthrough in football. After a successful 2009 Gulf Cup of Nations in which he was the top scorer of the tournament Rabia was signed by Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr FC, Al-Nassr FC of the Saudi Professional League but after his one-year loan spell at the club he went back to Oman and signed for Al-Shabab Club (Oman), Al-Shabab Club. 2009–10 Oman Mobile League
The 2009–10 Omani League (known as the ''Oman Mobile League'' for sponsorship reasons) was the 34th edition of the top football league in Oman. It began on 12 September 2009 and finished on 7 May 2010. Al-Nahda Club were the defending champions, having won the previous 2008–09 Oman League season. On Friday, 7 May 2010, Al-Suwaiq Club played out a 1–1 draw away in their final league match against Al-Nasr S.C.S.C. and emerged as the champions of the 2009–10 Oman Mobile League with a total of 44 points. 2010 FIFA World Cup Qualification (AFC)
The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) section of 2010 FIFA World Cup qualification was allocated four assured qualifying berths for the final tournament in South Africa and one place in a play-off. 43 teams were in the running for these spots, while Laos, Brunei and the Philippines did not enter qualification. This was the first time Timor-Leste competed in World Cup qualification and the first time Australia attempted to qualify for the World Cup as a member of the AFC, having moved from the Oceania Football Confederation at the start of 2006. The 2011 AFC Asian Cup was the 15th edition of the men's AFC Asian Cup, a quadrennial international football tournament organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). The finals were held in Qatar from 7 to 29 January 2011. It was the fifteenth time the tournament has been held, and the second time it has been hosted by Qatar, the other being the 1988 AFC Asian Cup. Kuwait National Football Team
The Kuwait national football team ( ar, منتخب الكويت لكرة القدم) is the national team of Kuwait and is controlled by the Kuwait Football Association. Kuwait made one World Cup finals appearance, in 1982, managing one point in the group stages. In the Asian Cup, Kuwait reached the final in 1976 and won the tournament in 1980. Kuwait's 20–0 win over Bhutan in 2000 was at the time the biggest ever victory in international football. It was surpassed in 2001, when Australia beat American Samoa 31–0. The 2011 AFC Asian Cup qualification saw various countries take part to determine 10 spots to the final tournament in Qatar under the new qualification system set by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). The Arabian Gulf Cup ( ar, كأس الخليج العربي, ''Kass Al-Khaleej Al-Arabi''), often referred to simply as the Gulf Cup, is a biennial football competition governed by the Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation for its eight member nations. The 20th Arabian Gulf Cup ( ar, كأس الخليج العربي) was the twentieth edition of the biannual Gulf Cup competition, and took place in Aden, Yemen, from 22 November to 5 December 2010. The tournament was held in Yemen for the first time in the tournament's history, and this edition celebrated the 40th anniversary of the cup as well as the 20th anniversary of the tournament. The 2013–14 Oman Professional League (known as the ''Omantel Professional League'' for sponsorship reasons) is the 38th edition of the top football league in Oman. The Oman Football League got the seal of approval of a professional league on 1 September 2013 and will henceforth be called the Omantel Professional League (OPL). The season began on 13 September 2013, and concluded on 16 May 2014. Al-Suwaiq Club were the defending champions, having won their third title in the previous 2012–13 Elite League season.
