Hasbullah Awang
Hasbullah Awang (9 September 1952 – 12 February 2015) was a Malaysian sports commentator. He worked as a sports commentator for Astro Arena from January 2014 until his death in February 2015. Formerly, he was a sports commentator at Radio Television Malaysia. Hasbullah started his career as a radio announcer on Radio 1 (now Radio Klasik FM). He also became an assistant to operate a special program for kids with Kak Yong. He is better known as a commentator for sports events at home and abroad. His popularity peaked during the football nation into the Semi-Pro era in the early 1990s. He also a narrator for the Malaysian film, ''Sumolah'', directed by Afdlin Shauki. He died at the age of 62 at the National Heart Institute of Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur due to heart complication. He was survived by his wife, Hazida Alang Ahmad, four daughters and seven grandchildren, and was buried at the Kota Kemuning Muslim Cemetery, Shah Alam. Teluk Intan
Teluk Intan is a town in Hilir Perak District, Perak, Malaysia. It is the district capital and largest town in Hilir Perak district and fourth largest town in the state of Perak with an estimated population of around 172,505, more than half of Hilir Perak district's total population (232,900). In the early days, the town was known as Teluk Mak Intan, after a female Mandailing trader. It was here that the Perak rulers held court from 1528 until Kuala Kangsar became the royal town in 1877. During the British protectorate era, the named was changed to Teluk Anson (Anson Bay), in honour of a British officer and last lieutenant-governor of Penang, Major-General Sir Archibald Edward Harbord Anson, who drew the plan of the modern township in 1882. In sports broadcasting, a sports commentator (also known as sports announcer or sportscaster) provides a real-time commentary of a game or event, usually during a live broadcast, traditionally delivered in the historical present tense. Radio was the first medium for sports broadcasts, and radio commentators must describe all aspects of the action to listeners who cannot see it for themselves. In the case of televised sports coverage, commentators are usually presented as a voiceover, with images of the contest shown on viewers' screens and sounds of the action and spectators heard in the background. Dato' Afdlin Shauki bin Aksan (born 19 May 1971) is a Malaysian producer, screenwriter, director, actor, comedian, singer, songwriter, and television presenter and politician. Career Music A singer, musician and live performer Afdlin, together with his band Acid Iz, presents a flavour of R&B, acid jazz and funk. His debut album ''FUUYO!'' was released in late 2003. In 1992, he performed for an audience of 50,000 in the 'Ikhlas Concert' alongside Zainal Abidin and Sheila Majid among others. Perak () is a state of Malaysia on the west coast of the Malay Peninsula. ''Sumolah'' (''Let's Sumo!'') is a 2007 Malaysian action-comedy film starring Afdlin Shauki and featuring the Japanese sport of sumo wrestling. The film was shot in Malaysia and Japan.
