Hasan Sönmez
Hasan Sönmez (born September 27, 1976 in İznik, Bursa, Turkey) is a retired Turkish footballer. He played for seven different clubs throughout his career, including Gençlerbirliği, Trabzonspor and Kayserispor. He finished his career with Iznikspor in 2011–12, the same team he started his career with in 1994. Career Hasan Sönmez spent his youth career with Iznikspor, he made his career debut on 17 September 1994 in a 2–1 away defeat against Beylerbeyi. He made 23 appearances in the 1994–95 TFF Third League season for Iznikspor before departing in 1995 to sign his first professional contract with Gençlerbirliği. He made his Gençlerbirliği debut in a 5–2 away defeat to Nazilli Belediyespor in the Turkish Cup. He remained with the club until 2003 when he left to join Trabzonspor, with whom he appeared in 18 league matches. İznik
İznik is a town and an administrative district in the Province of Bursa, Turkey. It was historically known as Nicaea ( el, Νίκαια, ''Níkaia''), from which its modern name also derives. The town lies in a fertile basin at the eastern end of Lake İznik, bounded by ranges of hills to the north and south. The town is only southeast of Istanbul but by road it is around the Gulf of İzmit. It is by road from Bursa. Süper Lig
The Süper Lig (, ''Super League''), officially known as Spor Toto Süper Lig for sponsorship reasons, is a Turkish professional league for association football clubs. It is the top-flight of the Turkish football league system and is run by the Turkish Football Federation. In the 2022–23 season, nineteen clubs compete, where a champion is decided and three clubs are promoted from, and relegated to the 1. Lig. The season runs from August to May, with each club playing 36 matches. Matches are played Friday through Monday. The competition was initially established in 1923. The league succeeded the Turkish Football Championship and the National Division, both being former top-level national competitions. The Süper Lig is currently 20th in the UEFA coefficient ranking of leagues based on club performances in European competitions over the last five years.
