Harwood Union High School is a mid-sized public secondary school located in Duxbury, Vermont. Union High School District No. 32, known as U-32 High School or U-32, is in East Montpelier, Vermont, United States. It is the regional reform high school for the central Vermont towns of Berlin, Calais, Middlesex, East Montpelier, and Worcester, and students from Orange, Washington, and Roxbury can choose attend U-32 after middle school. Ilari Melart (born February 11, 1989) is a Finnish professional ice hockey defenceman currently playing for HIFK of the Liiga. Playing career In 2006–07 he played 10 matches for the A-junior (top youth level in Finland) side and an additional 21 matches for the B-juniors. In 2007-08 he made 21 appearances for the A-juniors, which eventually earned him a spot in the first team. Paul O. Wennberg is the R. Stanton Avery Professor of Atmospheric Chemistry and Environmental Science and Engineering at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech). He is the director of the Ronald and Maxine Linde Center for Global Environmental Science. Nolan Kasper (born March 27, 1989) is a World Cup alpine ski racer from the United States. He competes in the technical events and specializes in the slalom. Born in Morristown, New Jersey, Kasper began skiing at age three at Hidden Valley ski area in northern New Jersey, where his father was a ski instructor. Kasper is a graduate of the Burke Mountain Academy in Vermont and attends Dartmouth College in the off-season. Caitlin Compton Gregg (born November 7, 1980) is an American cross-country skier who has competed since 2001. Career Gregg starting Nordic skiing at Harwood Union High School in Duxbury, Vermont, as a sophomore. Her best World Cup finish was 14th in the 10 km Freestyle in Canmore, Alberta in February 2010. It was announced on January 19, 2010, that she had qualified for the 2010 Winter Olympics. She ended up placing sixth overall in the team sprint along with Kikkan Randall. Bill Parker (inventor)
William P. Parker is an American artist, scientist, and entrepreneur, best known for inventing the modern design of the plasma globe. The invention occurred in 1971, when Parker was working as a student in a physics laboratory at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and accidentally filled a test chamber to a greater-than-usual pressure with ionized neon and argon.. Three years later, Parker was artist-in-residence at the Exploratorium in San Francisco and created two installations using this technology, entitled ''Quiet Lightning'' and ''AM Lightning''.
