Charles Harward
Charles Harward ( 1 August 1723 - 15 July 1802) was an Anglican priest, born in Hayne House Plymtree, Devon. Family Charles Harward married Ann Ball (1738–1785) on 24 March 1763 at Saint Martins in the Fields, Westminster, London. Ann was the daughter of Thomas Ball (1698–1770) Dean of Chichester Cathedral and his wife Margaret (maiden name Mill (1712–1783). Charles and Ann had a daughter Elisabeth Margaret Harward (1764–1796). Elisabeth married the Rev. William Blake (1763–1812) the Rector of Braunton, Devon. Charles and Ann also had three other children, Ann Augusta Harward (1765–1847), Charles Harward (1766–1816) and John Harward (1767–1791). After Ann died, Charles married Louisa Yonge (1730–1811), on 16 November 1785 , who was the daughter of Sir William Yonge, 4th Baronet of Escot (1693–1755) and his second wife Anne Howard, the daughter and coheiress of Thomas Howard, 6th Baron Howard of Effingham. Donald West Harward
Donald West "Don" Harward is an American philosopher who served as the sixth President of Bates College from March 1989 to November 2002, where he was succeeded by the first female president, Elaine Tuttle Hansen. Early life and career Harward received his B.A. in mathematics from Maryville College, then his M.A. from American University, and Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Maryland. Harward then taught at the University of Delaware and the College of Wooster, where he served as a dean and vice president of academic affairs. On March 1, 1989, Harwad was tapped to succeed Thomas Hedley Reynolds as the sixth President of Bates College. His first years leading the college revolved around stressing the importance of egalitarian values and involvement in the community through the creation of a thesis program, and the strengthening of the study-abroad program. John Harward
John Henry Harward (27 May 1858 – 30 September 1932) was a British educationist and Principal of Royal College Colombo (1892–1902). Born in Wirksworth, Derbyshire, he was educated at Durham School (1869–1877) and University College, Oxford (1878–1881) and graduated B.A. First in classical Moderations. Starting a career in teaching he became the second classics Master at Brighton College (1882–1891). In 1892 he was appointed Principal of Royal College Colombo till 20 August 1902. Concurrently he acted as Director of Public Instruction (1898–1902) while being principal and was Director of Public Instruction January 1903 to 1915. Samuel Harward (c1740 - 12 August 1809) was a printer and publisher in Gloucestershire, who is credited with the first works ever printed in Tewkesbury (1760) and Cheltenham Cheltenham (), also known as Cheltenham Spa, is a spa town and borough on the edge of the Cotswolds in the county of Gloucestershire, England.
