Harveys Outdoor Arena
The Lake Tahoe Outdoor Arena (originally known as Harveys Outdoor Amphitheater) is a temporary outdoor concert venue located in Stateline, Nevada near Lake Tahoe. The venue is located on the grounds of Harveys Lake Tahoe, in the south parking lot behind the parking garage. Opening in 1992, the temporary structure has been the home to several musical events, including the long-running "Harveys Summer Concert Series". The venue opened on July 7, 1992, with a performance by the Gipsy Kings. At the time, the venue held up to 5,000 spectators. In 2005, former owner, Harrah's Entertainment, hired San Francisco–based promoters, Another Planet Entertainment, for venue operations and event booking. Launching the new concert series, the temporary venue was moved from the north lawn to the parking lot. The capacity increased from 5,000 to 9,300. Stateline, Nevada
Stateline is a census-designated place (CDP) on the southeastern shore of Lake Tahoe in Douglas County, Nevada, United States. It lies next to the California state line and City of South Lake Tahoe. The population was 842 at the 2010 census. The population swells considerably during the busy winter and summer seasons, due to the high number of hotel rooms and rental accommodations available. Attractions Stateline is home to four casino resorts: Bally's Lake Tahoe (formerly Caesars and MontBleu), Harrah's Lake Tahoe, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe (formerly Horizon), and Harveys Lake Tahoe. Harveys Lake Tahoe is a hotel and casino located in Stateline, Nevada. It has 742 rooms and suites as well as six restaurants and a casino with of space. It also has a video arcade, wedding chapel, pool, convention center and a full-service health club. It is owned by Vici Properties and operated by Caesars Entertainment. History Harvey's was originally opened in 1944 and operated by Sacramento meat wholesaler Harvey Gross and his wife Llewellyn. Gipsy Kings are a group of flamenco, salsa, and pop musicians from Arles and Montpellier in southern France, who perform mostly in Catalan but also mix in Spanish with southern French dialects. South Lake Tahoe is the most populous city in El Dorado County, California, United States, in the Sierra Nevada.
